NU ( Nyu ) is a folk duo that is active mainly in Yokohama City , Kanagawa Prefecture. Born in Osaka and raised in Yokohama, two people who grew up separately in Osaka met in Yokohama where they moved to work and formed NU in 2000. Then in 1999 two people all leave the company and start street live. It has steadily increased the number of fans. Activities have been extended to various places centering on radio and live event activities in local Yokohama.
