Rei Ohara (Oh, Rei, 17th November 1951) is a bassist, composer and music producer. He is gaining global recognition as the founder of the worldwide epidemic "ground beat".

In 1972, he joined the Sadistic Mika Band with Yukihiro Takahashi at the invitation of Kazuhiko Kato. 1974-Formed "bamboo" with Kenji Omura and Tatsuo Hayashi. In recent years, friendship with Tamio Okuda has deepened, and has participated in albums and tours. In March 2006, as a member of the Sadistic Mika Band, he appeared in the CM as a tie-up with a beer company.
