Shima is a Japanese band formed in February 2009 Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, formed as a member of the light music club at Kyushu Kyoritsu University. After the first live, Akio Mizoguchi (ex. PEACE MAKER) who was deep in friendship officially joins. The first live held the 2 days voluntary event "JOINT SOULS" in June of the same year mobilized over 300 people on both days.
The voluntary event "JOINT SOULS", which is held on an occasional basis, records mobilization of around 150 people each time, while holding events that can only be performed by SHIMA and events that can be performed by SHIMA regardless of genre. So far ALMOND, BOMB FACTORY, Boobie Trap, BRAHMAN, CROSSFAITH, coldrain, DRADNATS, dustbox, EASYGRIP, FIB, GARLIC BOYS, GOOD4NOTHING, HEY-SMITH, LOST, MEANING, Northern19, NUBO, PAN, etc. In addition, they performed their first two-man live at GENERAL HEAD MOUNTAIN and local Kokura on 2010/11 with 200 tickets.
In July, 2012, they appeared with new system, live with 4 people start!
