OVERGROUND ACOUSTIC UNDERGROUND is an acoustic band formed by 6 members, TOSHI-LOW(Vo, in OAU as Vo&G), MAKOTO(B), RONZI(Dr), and KOHKI(G) (members of BRAHMAN, a leading hard core band of Japan) and by KAKUEI a percussionist who plays in various projects and MARTIN(Vo&Vio&G) a Scottish American violinist.

The sound of the acoustic guitar, wood base, drums, percussions, violin and the two vocalists skilfully weave in Western style.

They attract the audience with their vivid dynamism and fine live performance at Japans greatest rock festivals such as FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL, RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL and ASAGIRI JAM.

MARTIN who takes the lead vocal, plays the guitar, violin, and mandolin is a Scottish American from Florida. As he was brought up in a family with his parents both being musicians, he started to play the violin when he was three years old. He won the Grand Prix at a violin competition in Florida three years in a row when he was a junior high-school student. But then he was very much into playing the guitar in his junior-high and high school years, and that brought him to Japan when he was 19 years old. During the days as a guitarist, he first met a studio percussionist KAKUEI (plays the conga, bongos, steel drums, timbales, paticas, and so on). Immediately they became close friends as they found out that they had a mutual friend. They had enjoyed jam sessions at home since then. In 2004, at a gig, MARTIN met TOSHI-LOW whod become another vocalist and the guitarist of OVERGROUND ACOUSTIC UNDERGROUND later.

OVERGROUND ACOUSTIC UNDERGROUND was formed from their relationship. MARTIN called KAKUEI to join, and TOSHI-LOW called MAKOTO (bass), RONZI (drums), and KOHKI (guitar) who were the remaining members of his own band BRAHMAN. The band was formed in June 2005, after a year when MARTIN and TOSHI-LOW first met.

One day TOSHI-LOW received an offer to put a track into an omnibus album celebrating the tenth anniversary of 7STARS, a graphic designers office in Tokyo; the album entitled The Basement Tracks -10YEARS SOUNDTRACK OF 7STARS (2005). The work on it was their first studio recording, and the band performed their first show in September, 2005. They released their first album OVERGROUND ACOUSTIC UNDERGROUND on July 12, 2006. After that album they participated in big summer rock festivals in Japan such as FUJIROCK FESTIVAL and ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL and in September they went on their first tour in Japan. They vigorously performed on several festivals after then.

Sambomaster is a Japanese rock band signed by Sony Music Japan. The band's name Sambomaster refers to the Russian martial art called Sambo. The band has 3 members: Takashi Yamaguchi: Vocal - Guitar , Yoichi Kondo: Base - Chorus,Yasushi Kiuchi: Drum - Chorus.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Takashi Yamaguchi first met drummer Yasufumi Kiuchi a few years back, at a university music club they were both members of. The duo ran into bassist Yoichi Kondo during February 2000, and the three went on to officially form the band now known as Sambomaster.

They made their debut at a live house in Tokyo's Kōenji district and soon followed this up with the self-production of their first single "Kick no Oni" (Kicking Demons), which they spent nearly a year working on. It was subsequently released in April 2001 as a limited edition of 300 copies.

For the first time, listeners outside of a live show were presented with vocalist and frontman Yamaguchi's vocals, which shift between a soft, sandpaper-like melodic voice to all-out screaming madness. Sambomaster's musical style is a blend of punk/classic rock, pop, jazz and rock ballads.

10-FEET (テンフィート ) is a Japanese rock band formed in 1997 in Kyoto, signed to Universal Music Japan and managed by BADASS. Their music styles are mix of rock, punk, heavy metal, reggae, hip-hop, guitar pop and bossa nova.

Known for their powerful live shows, the Japanese indie trio 10-Feet plays eclectic, loosely punk-based music that includes influences ranging from ska and bossanova to hip-hop and metal. The band was established in 1997 in Kyoto by Takuma (vocals/guitar), Naoki (bass/vocals), and Kouichi (drums), all of them had previous experience playing in various-styled musical units -- Takuma joked about 10-Feet's formation being "the problem child of each band getting together."

They spent about three years tearing up local clubs before taking on Japan at large, and in 2000, 10-Feet kicked out a nameless debut demo and moved to Tokyo. They had no warm welcome there, though: the first singles "April Fool" and May I Help You? were released by the indie label Buddy in 2001, and for the following Japanese tour, the bandmembers had to live in their van.

Their debut album Springman came out in 2002 and was supported by a successful tour, but after that, 10-Feet still had to face a setback, returning to Kyoto and quitting their label. They started one on their own instead, giving it the fitting name Badass; its first release was their single "Nil?" in 2003. Soon, 10-Feet were able to sell out their first solo gig, performing at the famous Shibuya AX, and released their second album, Realife (2004), in Korea in 2007, thus beginning a steady Japanese release pattern.

4Rest followed in 2005 and Twister in 2006, along with a remix EP 7 Feet (2007) for which the band played its tunes with popular artists such as Minmi and Kj from Dragon Ash. In 2007, the band run into some spectacular problems. first Takuma came down with a throat illness, and then their comeback gig was canceled because Kyoto was hit by a typhoon, but 10-Feet still got back on track, releasing the album Vandalize in 2008 and playing not just Japan, but Taiwan and the States that year. The sixth full-length, Life Is Sweet, was delivered in 2009.

The Cro-Magnons (クロマニヨンズ Za Kuromaniyonzu) is a Japanese rock band founded in July 2006 by Hiroto Kōmoto (vocals) and Masatoshi Mashima (guitar), both previously of The Blue Hearts and The High-Lows, with Masaru Kobayashi (bass) and Katsuji Kirita (drums).

After The High-Lows ceased activity in November 2005, Mashima proposed forming a new band with Kōmoto. Due to an introduction from a recording engineer named Satoshi Kawaguchi, known from the time of The Blue Hearts, Kobayashi and Kirita joined the formation of The Cro-Magnons. The name of the band came after Mashima and Komoto saw The Rolling Stones perform live at the Nagoya Dome. Their first album had already been recorded and the band was tentatively named "Kuromaniyonzu".

With their album due to be finished in the winter of 2006, they appeared all over the country in summer music events without announcement and without a name. On the net, people blinked and wondered "Is this Hiroto and Mashi's new band?" Before their live performance on Osaka's "Meet The World Beat 2006," news of their appearance was leaked and some of the crowd called out "Hiroto!", "Mashi!". With a bitter smile, the band members said "It wasn't a secret at all." At 1:41pm on July 23, The Cro-Magnons made their first official appearance as a band.[1] Two months later, on September 20, the band began their first nationwide tour, "The Cro-Magnons Shutsugen Tour!!" (クロマニヨンズ出現ツアー!! The Cro-Magnons Appear Tour!!).

The band had a second tour in early 2007, entitled "Haru no Uraura Matsuri" (ウラウラ Spring Gently Shining Festival), with 16 performances nationwide.

The Cro-Magnons continue to be prolific in their songwriting and touring. The most recent tour for the Rainbow Thunder album began November 7, 2018 going until April 20, 2019.
