Habana was formed in Fukuoka Japan, 2009.
Tribal instruments including a sitar, didgeridoo, and djembe percussion fused together with rock and trance make a very unique dance music.
The band gained popularity in the Japanese underground music scene with their unprecedented live performances - buddhist chants and mantras, traditional straw hats, full on tattoos in circle formation - their sound is so addictive that after each show local record stores receive calls asking for HABANA CDs. Though they enjoy playing local shows, they have also played large festivals such as SUNSET LIVE (largest festival in western Japan), RAINBOW ASO (rave party, 20,000 people), Re:birth (rave party, 10,000 people).
In November of 2013, their 1st album "WE ARE NEVER INFLUENCED" was released nationally and via iTunes.
