Natsumi Wakamatsu is a violinist graduated from Toho Gakuen High School and School of Music, and completed graduate school. Studied violin with Saburo Satomi and Toshiya Eto. In 1982, studied abroad at the Royal Academy of Music at The Hague. Studied Baroque Violin with Mr. S. Quiken. Graduated from the school in 1985 with a performer diploma. She participated in numerous concerts and recordings as a member of orchestras such as La Petite Band and 18th Century Orchestra.
Currently she is a concert master of Bach Collegium Japan and Orchestra Rivera Classica. Member of the 18th century orchestra (Netherlands). Recorded Mozart, Haydn and Bockellini chamber music, concertos, etc. on BIS and TDK Arte Delarco. Part-time lecturer at the Department of Early Music, Tokyo University of the Arts.
