Mutsumi Taniguchi is a mezzo-soprano.
Born in Kochi Prefecture. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. Completed graduate school singing course.When she graduated from the university, she performed at a concert.
Completed the 47th Second Term Master Class. Received an award for excellence upon completion.
Completed the second term professional course.
Recently, in June 2008, she appeared as a composer of the Tokyo Second Term Meeting “Ariadne of Naxos” and just attracted the audience with fresh singing and acting.
In March 2008, she performed at the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra Mozart “C-moll Mass” by Mr. Hubert Sudern who directed “The Mercy of Emperor Tito” and performed a song that met his expectations. In March 2009, at the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra regular concert, Schubert's accompanying music “Rosamunde of Queen of Cyprus” was co-starred. In addition, she appeared in TV Asahi's “Untitled Concert 21”, and the gorgeous “Samson and Delilah” Delira ’s singing drew attention from viewers.
The first full-scale recital will be held on November 1 this year as soon as she was selected for the Golden Concert.
In the future, there is a high call for the birth of a large newcomer after a long time, which should grow not only in the second quarter but also in the meso-soprano that represents Japan, and there are high expectations both in Japan and overseas.
