I-VAN has played an active role in establishing diplomatic relations between Japan and Jamaica through music and culture. I-VAN returned to Okinawa in 2014 where he moved his base to his hometown for the first time in 12 years.
Other than performing on stage, I-VAN also gives lectures at educational facilities where he talks about the experience he gained while living in Jamaica for 10 years. He actively gives lectures on the topics of “gratitude toward parents,” “value of peace,” and “from Okinawa to the world.” He puts a great deal of effort in supporting the children of the future.
