J-WAVE 30th ANNIVERSARY FESTIVAL INNOVATION WORLD FESTA

M-Flo (エムフロウ Emu Furō, stylized as M-flo) are a Japanese hip hop group consisting of record producer DJ Taku Takahashi, MC Verbal and LISA. Their mainstream success and critical acclaim established them as the most iconic and influential hip-hop production team in Japan with success throughout Asia. Taku Takahashi and Verbal also started successful side-projects outside M-Flo, such as the Teriyaki Boyz and Global Astro Alliance collaborating with international producers and artists such as Kanye West and the Beastie Boys.

On December 14th 2017, Lisa returned to the group and they announced that they will release new material in 2018. At the same time, M-Flo also released a digital compilation album called UNIVERSE to celebrate past years of the group, that contained all the 150 songs they released since their debut.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation (アジアン・カンフー・ジェネレーション, stylized as ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION) is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in Yokohama, Japan, in 1996. Starting out as a college band, Asian Kung-Fu Generation released a series of independent EPs featuring lyrics mostly sung in English. In 2002, they released their major-label EP debut Hōkai Amplifier, from that point singing their lyrics in Japanese.

The band's musical style is influenced by seminal Western alternative rock acts as well as their own local Japanese indie-rock and punk scene. Their songs incorporate various aspects of the genres, most typically expressing fast tempos and prominent power chord guitar riffs in addition to rhythmic groove and emotional lyrics. Despite the indie nature of their music, the band has enjoyed worldwide commercial success in addition to critical acclaim. Asian Kung-Fu Generation has been cited as one of the best, most balanced modern rock bands to emerge from Japan in the 2000s.

Androp (anne-drop, stylized as Androp) is a Japanese rock band formed in 2008 in Tokyo. The band had their indie debut in 2009, and then signed on to a major label Warner Music Japan in 2011. Before their major debut, in November 2010 they contributed to the actress and singer Kou Shibasaki’s single “EUPHORIA”.

The band was formed in 2008 around the vocalist, Uchisawa Takahito.

Open Reel Ensemble is a Japanese magneticpunk band, formed in 2009. Open Reel Ensemble is pioneering a new genre called ‘magneticpunk.’ Open Reel Ensemble doesn't play conventional instruments, like guitars, drums and keyboards. Instead, the Japanese band uses reel-to-reel tape recorders built by Pioneer and TEAC in the 1970s and '80s.

They weren't designed, of course, with musical creation and manipulation in mind. Over the years, the group has developed new techniques. As Motherboard explains, each member can now "program" sounds directly on to the recorders, creating a strange blend of digital and analog technology. With multi-track recorders, Open Reel Ensemble is able to switch individual tracks on and off, too.

Kasarinchu is a duo from Kasari Cho Amami Island, Kagoshima Prefecture. They formed the duo after singing together at friends’ wedding. Tatsuhiro’s clear and tender vocal and Kosuke’s earthy vocal , both as main, creates great contrasts. Their music rests on acoustic guitar and human beat boxing, which is a rare musical style in and outside of Japan. They mix soul music, funk, rock and J-pop over the straightforward or twisted lyrics on their view for the daily life. The subject matters vary from “The room they live in”, “Cultivator vehicle” to “Insects”.

The AR Three brothers is a development unit belonging to Torque Corporation, Japan (Sewing machine maker · JUKI Co., Ltd). They have involved in advertisements inside and outside the manufacturer, system development, patent planning, exhibition production, etc. Independent as ALTERNATIVE DESIGN in May 2010. In 2013, together with Yasushi Sado, Island Torque Co., Ltd. was established. Through various media, they continued inventing and presenting new works not bounded by existing frameworks.

The festival of technology and music "INNOVATION WORLD FESTA" first held at the University of Tsukuba co-sponsored by FM radio station J-WAVE and University of Tsukuba in 2016 called "Innofes". It is an innovator and artist of various fields representing Japan , Bringing excitement to many visitors as a new festival gathered by state-of-the-art technology companies.

This event is a talk session by innovators from various fields representing Japan, live performances incorporating technology by luxury artists, exhibition of state-of-the-art venture companies, experience corner of latest technology, food area and now. They will deliver a variety of cutting-edge content such as hot topic e-Sports, media art performance and installation.
