Kuhei Nakabayashi was born in 1981. At the same time as entering high school, he entered Konan High School Brass Ensemble Division and started a wood base.
In 2003 in Kazuma Jazz Contest, he won the Grand Prix and Best Player Award. After graduation, he collaborated with Terumasa Hino, Jiro Yoshida, Takayuki Shimamoto and others.
In 2005 he moved the base of activity to Tokyo and played with Masamune Yamaguchi band, Masahiro Sayama, Isao Suzuki "OMA SOUND", Horiaki Hori trio, Ichihara Hikari Group, Furuya Jun trio, Shimizu Eriko trio etc.
He formed his own quartet in 2008 and released a mini album "Graffiti".
In 2012, he released all the second album "The Times" by original songs. In 2012, in Jazz page, he acquired No.1 in the Best Instrument Album category. At the same time he won in 2012 jazzman of the year on this site. Other activities include the appearance of domestic and foreign jazz festivals, collaboration with three bassist's own bands, theatrical companies and so on.
