DJ TSUYOSHI (full name: Tsuyoshi Suzuki, November 26, 1967 ) is a Japanese techno musician, DJ. Sometimes he works under the name of NUMANOID as a strange name. He used to study at Nihon University Tsurugaoka High School and he graduated from art department of Nihon university.
He was born in 1967 and started music activities in Tokyo in the late 80's. Initially, he took part in a band strongly influenced by YMO and UK New Wave. At the same time, he aimed at a goal to become a video artist and produced video art. After that, in 1992, he went to a single entrance and started going to Gore Transravel 'MATSURI PRODUCTIONS', becoming the top DJ in the world with the success of the regular event RETURN TO THE SOURCE. In 1998 he was also in charge of the music of the Tokyo / Paris collection of ISSEY MIYAKE (music at this time was released in the title of "ECLIPTIC TSUYOSHI DJ MIX FOR ISSEY MIYAKE MEN" from East West Japan). In 2000 he moved the main activity base from London to Tokyo, and now he is also working as an electro DJ in the name of NUMANOID.
In 1997, he formed an electro band JOUJOUKA with Takeshi Isogai (Takeshi Isoya, UBAR TMAR) and is active up to now.
He also presides over the record label "MATSURI PRODUCTIONS".
