Hoff Dylan is a Japanese indie pop-rock duo that debuted in 1996 composed of vocal guitar Watanabe Shin and a vocal keyboard Yuushi Komiyama. They made a debut with a single titled Smile in 1996. Both of them compose, write lyrics and sing, presenting very unique perspectives in the song, drawing music fans attention.
They have written for TV commercials and done some narrative works, keeping a solid fan base throughout Japan. The duo initially had some slight success, with their 1997 album, "Washington C.D.", reaching number 10 on the Japanese Oricon charts. Although by the early 2000s, Hoff Dylan's slight success faded, and the duo initially split in 2002. However, in 2006, Hoff Dylan reunited, although as a purely independent band.
