Risa Minami is a harmonica player. She began playing piano at the age of 3, oboe at the age of 12, graduated from the Kobe College of Music, Department of Music and Department of Oboe.
She encountered a chromatic harmonica while she was in college, being fascinated by the sound and studied hard.
In 2009, she got Second Prize at Germany F.I.H. Harmonica World Tournament World Cup in the Open Category.
in 2010 winning in the 30th F.I.H. Japan Harmonica Competition. She won all Grand Prize at the same convention.
Winning at the 8th Asia Pacific Harmonica Tournament Chromatic Solo Open (Singapore).
She also won numerous victories at other domestic and international competitions.
She had major debut in 2013 under King record. As a soloist, she has worked with Ukrainian National Kiev Symphony Orchestra, INSO International Symphony Orchestra, Bulgarian National Sophia Philharmonic, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.
She also participated in TBS & WOWOW co-production drama MOZU spin-off "Osugi detective office", major participation in NHK 37th Creative TV Drama Grand Prize "Hope Flower", NHK classic album etc, BS JAPAN "ENTER THE MUSIC" NTV.
She appears on TV programs such as "Just for Kyoto, let's go" JR Tokai CM in autumn 2016.
Her concert at Hyogo Prefectural Arts Center, KOBELCO Great Hall, 2000 tickets sold out in just 5 minutes.
