The Cosmic Carnival is a rock band from Rotterdam .
The band plays rock 'n' roll based on influences from various countries in the period of the sixties. Music is made of symphonic melodies using electronic organ and guitar solos. The vocals are polyphonic.
In 2009, the band won the jury and public award of the Grote Prijs van Nederland in the category Rock / Alternative. The debut album Change The World Or Go Home was released in 2012 , followed by Mon Cher Amour in 2014. In 2015 The Cosmic Carnival released a double live album, followed by a third studio album in 2017: First Flowers. The band has performed more than 500 times in the Netherlands and abroad in the first ten years of its existence. In 2017 and 2018 The Cosmic Carnival enters the British-American band Fleetwood Mac for the theater show Fleetwood Mac: The Incredible Story.
For a good decade now, The Cosmic Carnival has been a fixture in The Netherlands, steadily building up a formidable live reputation. The Hey Song was originally started in December 2014 as a solo project of Bassist / Composer Keita Ochiai (commonly known as Kit).
