Tetsutaro Shimizu is a Japanese opera singer. He graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts and completed the first special trainee at Master Class Opera Academy in Stadio Amadeus.
He won the first prize at the 33rd Iizuka Music Competition which was held by Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award. In addition, he got the 3rd place in the 9th Tokyo Music Competition, the 82nd Japan Music Competition and many other top prizes.
On January 2017, he received the Cultural Agency Art Festival Award Kansai Genki Culture Space Award New Power Award as the 4 major tenors of Biwako Hall.
