Hiroshi Hara is a Japanese solo concert master (soprano saxophone). Hiroshi Hara graduated from TOKYO MUSIC & MEDIA ARTS SHOBI and completed the Graduate Course of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
In 1996 he won first prize of the 13th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition.
In 2002 he won first prize of the Competition International Adolphe Sax.
Since 1997, he has been active as a soloist in Tokyo and in Hokkaido, and all the performances have earned high reputations. He has performed concertos with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and Orchestre Royal de chambre de Wallonie. He studied the saxophone with Yoshiyuki Hattori and Kazuo Tomioka.
He served as a jury of the 25th Japan Drum Concert Percussion Contest in 2008, the 5th Adolf SAX International Competition in 2010, and served as a lecturer at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music since fiscal 2011-2013 (expired in March 2014).
Currently he is teaching backwards at Shimotsuke Gakuen Music College and Naomi Music College College.
