Kobayashi Issei is a Japanese violinist born in 1994. Now he is currently studying at the Berlin School of Fine Arts, Germany. He won 3rd place in the 84th Japan Music Competition, 2nd in the Salzburg Mozart International Chamber Music Competition 2014 and 2nd in the 63rd All-Japan Student Music Competition.
He has performed with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Chiba Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra of the Maitreya as a soloist. In collaboration with Maxim Vengerov and Bach's Doppel Concerto as a soloist, he performed with Yvely Gitlis as a concertmaster of the young string orchestra, and also co-starred with prominent musicians.
