Kimikohei is a Japanese clarinetist. After graduating from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, he studied at Lubeck National Music College.
He ranked No. 1 in the 2006 Japanese Music Competition, the 3rd place in Japanese at the ARD Munich International Music Competition Clarinet Division 08 and awarded numerous awards including the 2009 Louis Schupor Medal.
He worked at the Lübeck Opera Orchestra from 2009 to 2012. In addition to performing as a soloist with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and others, he also worked as a chamber musician, including participating in the Kiso Music Festival.
