Chirico KiRiKo is a Japanese erhu player and composer. She was born on March 21 from Tokyo.
She graduated from Waseda University Faculty of Education Department of Composite Culture. She also completed the training course of central music school civic music system Fu Hu Major. She began to learn erhu from the age of 6, and began performing from the age of 12. She has studied with Mr. Jiang Peng Yu, Zhou Yao, and Mr. Horima Hana.
She received the highest ranking (Grand Prize) in international competition held in authentic China, won numerous awards since she was young.
Besides solo activities now, she is also a member of the domestically inspired music unit "Knights of the Sound-Table ~ Knight of the Temperament" that started from 2015, she is in charge of the Erhu performance. She is also active as a member of the capability girls band "Annin Show School", which consists of six persons, Erhu, Cello, Accordion, Percussion, Piano, Chinese Biwa, and unique instruments. In 2017, she appeared in "Japan Expo 2017 in France" and got a total success of 6 live performances during the event period including the KARASU stage.
