Akiko Ogawa is a Japanese alto singer active in the front line as a soloist. She was born in Kumagaya, graduated from Vocal Music Department of Tokyo College of Music and completed major in music graduate course from the Tokyo University of the Arts.
In 1992, she won the second prize in the 61st Japan Music Competition Vocal Music (Song) category and the third prize at the 4th Japan Voice Competition. In 1993, Akiko Ogawa also won the 1st ranking of the 4th Performing Armban Japan Performing Arts Competition and the Koji Yamada prize. In November 1997, she studied abroad in Vienna as a foreign trainee for Agency for Cultural Affairs Dispatch Artists.
