Sayaka Asaoka (Maiden Matsumoto Sayaka) was born on November 3, 1979, Scorpio. She is from Tokyo. Sayaka Asaoka started playing the piano from 3 years old.
In 1997, she is the winner of the 20th Pitina · Piano Competition Concerto Section Senior National Conference Best Award.
In 1998, she enrolled in the Soloist Diploma Course, the most difficult course of Toho Gakuen Music University. She successfully passed the 6th recital test and the concerto exam, and became the first solo diploma course in the history since the establishment in the piano department. Also she enrolled in International Christian University (ICU) while enrolled in Togo and continued a double school with Tohto University of Music for 4 years.
In 2003, she graduated from ICU in Department of International Relations Department of International Communication and Education Department of Psychology Department. In the graduation thesis, she conducted research from the viewpoint of clinical psychology for classical music performers.
In 2005, she received a scholarship from the British Royal Academy of Music (Royal Academy and studied abroad.
In June 2006, she graduated from the same course piano course. In addition to being awarded the title of DipRAM which is given to the highest level performer, Vice Principal's Special Award (Vice principal special award) is given to the final recital carrying out all nine songs of Rachmaninoff "Sound Picture Op. 39".
In 2009, she was invited as a guest soloist of Great Sheriff Gala Concert in Great Britain and collaborated with British Cathedral at the Cathedral of Bristol with Emerald Ensemble Orchestra conducted by Peter Stark and Rachmaninoff Concerto No. 2.
In 2010, she also held recital with Rakhmaninoff and his original songs in London, Hungary and Rome.
