Kurata Daisuke is a Japanese drummer. He was born on May 5, 1970 in Otsu-shi, Shiga Prefecture. In 1998, he played with Mr. Akira Miyazawa of Tenor Sachs which is a pioneer of modern jazz in Japan along with NHK FM radio program "Session 505" with Mori Kenji (Reeds), Keikori (Vo).

In 1999, he released three songs on CUG Jazz Orchestra 's first album "CUG001" led by Yasuhiro Kouma. In the autumn of the same year, he moved to New York for the pursuit of further jazz and performed a wide range of performances such as Seoul, R & B, Latin as well as jazz.

In June 2006, the first leader album "A Foreign Sky" recorded in New York by CUG RECORDS (Roving Spirits). In September 2006, after returning to Japan after staying for seven years in NY, transfer the base to Tokyo.
