1992年、京都でHIROSUKE（ヴォーカル）を中心に結成。前身バンドASTRO ZOMBIESから、そのスタイルはアメリカの伝説的パンク・ロック・バンド、ミスフィッツの独特なホラーロックサウンド、そしてデビロックと言われる独特のヘアスタイルを本格的に継承したホラー映画のイメージコンセプトを更に追求したホラーパンクバンドとして結成。
1993年、ギターに現メンバーのATSUSHIの加入を機に精力的なライブ活動を開始。地元京都、大阪を中心にライブ活動を行う。
1995年10月31日ハロウィンに、ファーストアルバム『THE LAST MEN ON EARTH』を大阪のインディーズレーベルのアルケミーレコードより発売。
1996年には大幅なメンバーチェンジを経て、ベースに現メンバーのAKIOが正式加入。
1997年10月31日ハロウィンに、インディーズレーベルPHALANX RECORDS（現DIWPHALANX RECORDS）に移籍し、セカンドアルバム『DEEP-TEENAGERS FROM OUTER SPACE』をリリース。同年には再結成を果たしたミスフィッツの初来日公演のオープニングアクトを果たした。
1998年10月31日ハロウィンにサードアルバム『13 STAIRWAY -THE CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT- 』をリリース。
赤犬（あかいぬ）は日本のバンド。
1993年に大阪芸術大学の音楽系学科の学生を中心に大阪で結成された。 元メンバーの松本章が「赤犬」あるいは「赤犬Lights」名義で山下敦弘、坂本一雪、熊切和嘉や宇治田隆史作品の映画音楽を多数担当していた。
バンド名の由来は、メンバーの大半が大学生だった頃、ある女子学生が、「赤犬は食べると旨い」と周囲に吹聴し、結果的に「赤犬」というあだ名がついてしまったという逸話から。この女子学生はメンバーと無関係である。
RAPES（レイプス）は、ボーカルのSHINTANIを中心として1980年代後半より活動を始めた日本のハードコアパンクバンド。ダンス・マカブラ、S.O.B、OUTO、グリフィンらとともに関西ハードコア・メタルコア界の最古参であり、そして最強の存在として認識されている。その音楽性より、真偽のほどは明らかでないがメディアにのせるのがはばかれるほどの逸話が数多く存在するバンドとして認識されている（ただしこうした伝説の一部は『Quick Japan』Vol.11において当時のメンバーに明確に否定されている）。ステージのSEにはClawfingerの「Hold Your Hand Up」が用いられる。
Demolition Man is a 1993 American science fiction action film directed by Marco Brambilla in his directorial debut. The film stars Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes. The film was released in the United States on October 8, 1993.
The film tells the story of two men: an evil crime lord and a risk-taking police officer. Cryogenically frozen in 1996, they are restored to life in the year 2032 to find mainstream society changed and all crime seemingly eliminated.
Some aspects of the film allude to Aldous Huxley's dystopian novel, Brave New World.
In 1996, psychopathic career criminal Simon Phoenix kidnaps a number of hostages, and takes refuge with his gang in an abandoned building. LAPD Sgt. John Spartan uses a thermal scan of the building; finding no trace of the hostages, he leads an unauthorized assault to capture Phoenix. Phoenix sets off a series of explosives that bring down the building, and the corpses of the hostages are found in the rubble; Phoenix claims Spartan knew about the hostages and attacked anyway, leading to the arrest of Spartan for manslaughter. He is incarcerated along with Phoenix in the city's new "California Cryo-Penitentiary", where they are cryogenically frozen and exposed to subliminal rehabilitation techniques.
During their incarceration, the "Great Earthquake" of 2010 leads the cities of Los Angeles, San Diego, and Santa Barbara to merge into a single metropolis under the name San Angeles. The city becomes a utopia run under the pseudo-pacifist guidance and control of the evangelistic Dr. Raymond Cocteau where human behavior is tightly controlled. In 2032, Phoenix is thawed for a parole hearing; he somehow has access codes to the security systems and murders the warden and several guards, steals a car, and escapes the prison. The police, having not dealt with violent crime for many years, are unable to handle Phoenix; after six officers fail to apprehend Phoenix, Cocteau verbally authorizes the police to employ all means at their disposal. Lieutenant Lenina Huxley suggests that Spartan, having caught Phoenix before, should be revived and reinstated to help them stop him again. Spartan is thawed and assigned to Huxley to help with his acclimation to the future, which he finds depressing and oppressive. Others on the police force find his behavior brutish and uncivilized, and Huxley, though fascinated by the lifestyles of the late 20th century, is disgusted when Spartan suggests kissing and sexual intercourse, acts which are taboo in the future due to the exchange of bodily fluids and risk of transmitting diseases.
Warheads is a brand of sour or tart candy manufactured by Impact Confections located in Janesville, Wisconsin. They are marketed as an 'extreme' candy with an intense sour flavor. They have proven to be very popular, especially with children; in 1999, Warheads were referred to as a "$40 million brand" (USD).
The candy was invented in Taiwan in 1975 and was first imported to the United States in 1993 by The Foreign Candy Company of Hull, Iowa. Impact Confections acquired the brand in 2004. They are currently manufactured and distributed in the United States by Impact Confections and in Australia by Universal Candy.
The name "Warheads" comes from the notion that the sour taste of the candies is akin to a real warhead going off in one's mouth, and the brand's mascot, Wally Warheads, is depicted as a boy with puckered lips and a small mushroom cloud emanating from the top of his head. Their 'extreme' sour flavor can produce visibly strong reactions from people experiencing them for the first time.
A driving force behind the candy's early popularity were informal competitions among schoolchildren to determine who could withstand eating the largest number of Warheads at once.
S.H.I.E.L.D. is a fictional espionage, special law-enforcement, and counter-terrorism agency appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in Strange Tales #135 (Aug. 1965), it often deals with paranormal and superhuman threats.
The acronym originally stood for Supreme Headquarters, International Espionage, Law-Enforcement Division. It was changed in 1991 to Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate. Within the various films set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as multiple animated and live-action television series, the backronym stands for Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division.
S.H.I.E.L.D.'s introduction in the Strange Tales feature "Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D." occurred during a trend for action series about secret international intelligence agencies with catchy acronyms, such as television's The Man from U.N.C.L.E., which Stan Lee stated in a 2014 interview, was the basis for him to create the organization. Colonel Fury (initially the lead character of Marvel Comics' World War II series Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos) was reimagined as a slightly older character with an eyepatch (which he lacked in his wartime adventures) and appointed head of the organization. Some characters from the Sgt. Fury series reappeared as agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., most notably Timothy "Dum-Dum" Dugan, Fury's bowler hat–wearing aide-de-camp.
Its most persistent enemy is Hydra, a criminal organization founded (after some retcon) by Baron Wolfgang von Strucker.
S.H.I.E.L.D. was presented as an extant, full-blown entity in its first appearance, with Tony Stark in charge of the Special Weaponry section and Fury seeing "some of the most famous joes from every nation" (then "half the leaders of the free world" a page later) at a meeting of the Supreme International Council. Much was revealed over the years to fill in its labyrinthine organizational history. Stan Lee wrote each story, abetted by artist Kirby's co-plotting or full plotting, through Strange Tales #152 (Jan. 1967), except for two issues, one scripted by Kirby himself (#148) and one by Dennis O'Neil (#149). Following an issue scripted by Roy Thomas (#153), and one co-written by Thomas and new series artist Jim Steranko, came the sole-writer debut of soon-to-become industry legend Steranko—who had begun on the feature as a penciller-inker of Kirby layouts in #151 (Dec. 1966), taken over the every-other-issue "Nick Fury" cover art with #153 two months later, and full writing with #155 (April 1967).
1996年、大阪にてDJ YOKUを中心として結成。主要メンバー以外は流動的だが、ホーンやストリングスセクションを含む30人編成のオーケストラである。メンバーにはドイツやフランスの国立交響楽団で活動する世界的バイオリニストもいる。
それまでは地元大阪を中心に活動していたが、2001年にアメリカのハウスシーンの大御所であるフランソワ・K が主宰するレーベル「WAVE MUSIC」よりリリースした「BATONGA」(アンジェリーク・キジョーのカバー) が世界的なクラブヒットを記録(ボーカルはTeNが担当)。続く2003年にはテクノ・ハウスにまたがってヒットしたAZTEC MYSTICの「Knight Of The Jaguar」をカバーしたインスト作品「JAGUAR」もヒットを記録し、国内外のクラブシーンで認知されることとなる。
2005年にはフォーライフミュージックエンタテイメントより1stアルバム「Fly From The Tree」でメジャーデビュー。アルバムには佐藤タイジ、有坂美香、サトシ・トミイエ、DJ NORI、DA PUMPのISSA、KENらが参加しており、外資系企業を中心に極めて高いセールスを記録した。
同年には朝霧JAM、2006年にはFUJI ROCK FESTIVAL、RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVALなどの大型フェスにも出演し話題となる。
また、リミキサー、プロデューサーとしてもSweep、SAWA、YUKI、青山テルマ、DA PUMPなどの作品に参加している。なお、現在も活動拠点は大阪である。

キーボードやシンセサイザーを多用した口ずさみやすいニュー・ウェイヴ・サウンドを壮大に鳴らす4ピース・バンド。ザ・ストロークスやザ・ホワイト・ストライプスと同じく、先にイギリスで人気に火がついて世界的ブレイクを果たしたアメリカのバンドである。先の二組と共に、イギリスで最も人気があるアメリカのバンドのひとつである。
バンド名は、ニュー・オーダーの『クリスタル』のミュージック・ビデオに登場する架空バンドの名前を拝借している。
2001年、デイヴィッドがメンバー募集告知をフリーペーパーに出し、ブランドンと出会う。後に、マーク、ロニーが加わる。
2003年にデビューを果たし、2004年にデビュー・アルバム『ホット・ファス』をリリースする。「ミスター・ブライトサイド」、「サムバディ・トールド・ミー」などのヒットシングルを生み、アルバムは全世界で合計700万枚を売り上げた。
2004年にはフジ・ロック・フェスティバルに出演した。
2005年、イギリスのグラストンベリー・フェスティバル (Glastonbury Festival) に出演する。当初ヘッドライナーに予定されていたカイリー・ミノーグが乳癌と診断され出演をキャンセルし、代わりにこの大役をオファーされる。しかし、まだバンドの活動期間が短いことや、アルバムを1枚しか発売していないことを考慮し、ヘッドライナーでの出演は辞退した。
2006年、セカンドアルバム『サムズ・タウン』を発表し、『ボーンズ』のミュージック･ビデオをティム・バートンが監督。出演者も『シン・シティ』のデヴォン青木などが出演し、豪華なミュージック･ビデオになっている。
イギリスのトップバンドのひとつで、アルバム総売上は6500万枚を超える（3500万枚は全米での売り上げ）。アルバム『炎のターゲット』と『ヒステリア』が空前の大ヒットを飛ばし、80年代を代表するロックバンドのひとつとなった。また、「VH1の最も偉大なハードロックバンド」において31位を獲得した。
1977年、タプトン・スクールの生徒であったリック・サヴェージ（ベース）、ピート・ウィリス（ギター）、トニー・ケニング（ドラム）により、バンドの母体となるアトミック・マスが結成される。偶然、バスに乗り遅れたピートがジョー・エリオットと出会い、ギタリストとして勧誘するが、最終的にはジョー・エリオットはヴォーカリストとして参加。
バンド名は、元々"Deaf Leopard"（耳の聞こえない豹）であったが、ケニングの提案で現在の綴りに変更される。1978年1月には、スティーヴ・クラークがバンドに加入する。
同年11月には3曲のコンパクト盤であるDef Leppard EPのレコーディング作業に入る。この時トニーはバンドを去り、後任としてフランク・ヌーンが加入するが、彼も脱退し、その月末には当時15歳のリック・アレンが正式なドラマーとして加入する。その後フォノグラム社と契約。

愛媛県西条市出身。身長175cm。血液型はA型。父は声楽家の秋川暢宏。
4歳よりヴァイオリン、ピアノを習い始める。西条市立西条南中学校3年生の時に父の指導のもと声楽に転向。愛媛県立小松高等学校を経て国立音楽大学卒業、同大学院修了。その後4年間、イタリアのパルマにて修行。帰国後、ベートーヴェン作曲の交響曲第9番（合唱付き）のソロなど、数々のコンサートに出演。1998年にカンツォーネコンクール第1位、日本クラシック音楽コンクール声楽部門最高位をそれぞれ受賞した。
2001年に日本コロムビアよりテノール歌手としてCDデビュー。
2006年12月31日、カバー曲「千の風になって」 にて「紅白」(NHK) 初出場を果たす。
紅白歌合戦出場後、「千の風になって」が2007年1月15日付のオリコンシングルチャート第4位にランクイン。テノール歌手として史上初のトップ5ランクインを果たし、1月22日付のオリコンチャートにて1位となる。この曲の大ヒットが評価されて、「ベストヒット歌謡祭2007」では「40周年記念特別賞」を受賞した。
2008年3月、日本テレビの開局55周年スペシャルドラマ『東京大空襲』の主題歌を担当。X JAPANのYOSHIKIが書き下ろした曲『愛する人よ』を歌った。
コンサートはピアノ伴奏のみによる形式と、前半をピアノ伴奏、後半をバンド（ピアノ・バイオリン・ギター・ベース）をバックに行う形式をとる。
仙台市立八軒中学校が復興を祈願するために演奏した「あすという日が」を、秋川雅史と夏川りみがそれぞれ2011年9月21日にCDを同時発売した。
The men have contributed to music by Quincy Jones, Kendrick Lamar, Common, Kanye West, Mos Def and Q-Tip, to name just a few, and now they've teamed up with jazz trumpeter Christian Scott, bassist Derrick Hodge, drummer Justin Tyson and multi-instrumentalist Taylor McFerrin to form R+R=NOW, a band packed with influence from multiple musical genres, including jazz, soul, R&B and hip-hop.
According to Glasper, R+R NOW tells "our story from our point of view. Everybody's sound is so different, but we all come from the same concrete garden. Its a very honest, fluid sound that rings of hip-hop, EDM, jazz, at times -- hell -- reggae ... a bunch of cats that respect each other so much that we always pass the ball."
R+R=NOW stands for Reflect+Respond=NOW, so named by Glasper after being inspired by late soul singer Nina Simone, who said an artist's duty is to reflect the times.

Kesha's music and image propelled her to immediate success, with her debut album Animal premiering at the top of the charts in several countries in 2009 and 2010. She achieved 3 more number-one singles, "Tik Tok" and "We R Who We R" as a solo artist, and "Timber" as a featured artist. At the same time, she continued to write songs for other artists, including "Till the World Ends" for Britney Spears. Warrior, her second studio album, was released in 2012, and spawned her eighth consecutive top-ten single "Die Young". "Tik Tok", at one point, was the best-selling digital single in history, selling over 16.5 million units internationally.
Since 2013, Kesha has been in legal dispute with her former producer Dr. Luke, in which a series of lawsuits, known collectively as Kesha v. Dr. Luke, were exchanged between the two parties. Kesha accused him of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse and employment discrimination against her, while Dr. Luke claims breach of contract and defamation by Kesha. During this period, the singer only released one single. She returned to music in 2017 with the release of her third studio album, Rainbow, and its lead single "Praying".
Kesha has received several awards and nominations, including her win for the MTV Europe Music Award for Best New Act in 2010. As of November 2013, she has reportedly sold over 59 million records in the United States and 76 million records worldwide.
Popular in live houses and outdoor festivals throughout Japan, CALMERA performs over 200 concerts a year, presenting a wide repertoires that includes jazz, ska, Japanese anime covers, J-Pop, Latin, and rock music. Appearances include Summer Sonic, Blue Note Tokyo, Daegu International Jazz Festival (Korea), and six consecutive performances at Sunset Live, Kyushu’s most popular outdoor music festival.
Releasing several indie albums and two major-label from Warner Music Japan, CALMERA has built a solid, dedicated following in Japan. The band’s single, “The dog ran away”, was chosen to represent Sony’s “h.ear × WALKMAN” campaign (HiRes Walkman / Sony Marketing Japan Inc.), and their recent album REAL KICKS (2016) debuted in the Top 10 Oricon Weekly Indies Album Chart.
CALMERA also supports youth community music programs several times a year with CAL-OKE (CALMERA + “Orchestra”) workshops, where they lead students to learn about music and play new instruments in a live concert after only three days.
CALMERA’s ninth studio album, JAZZY GOLD CHAIR, was released in November 2017, and included a collaboration with famed violinist Koichiro Muroya (Attack on Titan, KILL la KILL, Mobile Suit Gundam UC) and a newly arranged CALMERA-style cover of the Spider-Man theme.
