Opera Theater Konjac is an opera company founded in 1971."Konjac club" was formed in 1965 by 6 people of Tokyo University of the Arts Vocal Music course third grader. The purpose of creating and performing an opera in which the words (Japanese) clearly understand through performances such as "La Boheme" (Puccini composition) and "Amanjaku ni Rikohime" (Hayashibara composition) at the art festival in the university .In 1971, eight people volunteered to form the "Opera Small Theater Konjacsa", and in 1974 they perform a full-fledged performance.Although it is said to be an opera, it does not take the form of the so-called grand opera, and many of the performances basically only play piano accompaniment, or additionally the actor plays percussion instruments and keyboard harmonica.
