Kawaguchi Setsuko Ballet Studio was established in 1978. On December 1998 it changed the name to Kawaguchi Setsuko ballet group on the occasion of its 20th anniversary
Their memorial performance is "Nutcracker Dolls Full Screen". On August 1999, San Francisco, Mayor Brown gave them a letter of appreciation and an invitation letter and visited the United States with 14 members.
