TRRMA’ is a project of Giovanni Todisco (Percussion) and Giuseppe Candiano (Synth). Trrmà was born in July 2015.
Started to experiment a new dimension, mixing “classic” afrikaans and symphonic percussion with modular synthesis.Back from almost 10 years of live and studio experience in their respective projects "The Brotherhood of Purgatory" and "Les Spritz", mainly active in the European diy noise scene, in 2015 they undertake this new journey together.
The proposed sonority combines with percussions of various nature (classical / symphonic, ethnic / tribal or made of objects produced by experimental self-construction) to the sound synthesis exerted by means of a range of modular synthesizers.
A set of "extended" classical drums of symphonic timpani, gong, bells, marimba, vibraphone, cowbells, Djun Djun meet with the mostly subtractive synthesis.
Trrmà explore the infinite possibilities of contemporary music, like a way to be free to explore anything, combining at the same time order and chaos, continuity and discontinuity, organization and uncontrollable mess, research of perfection and complete casuality.
Listeners couldn't find any failure into their music, or maybe, everything sounds like a failure.
This could be the most interesting part of their music composition.
