Andrei Anihanov (Russian: Андрей Аниханов, Andrey Anikhanov, 1965 -) is a conductor of Russia.
Learning at the Leningrad Conservatory, he won the 1987 All-Soviet Youth Conductor Concours and became a darling of the musical instrument. Since becoming the principal conductor of the Leningrad State Opera Orchestra with exceptional youth of 27 years old in 1992, he has also served as a music director. However, in May 2008, he resigned in protest against the operation system of the opera house. Besides, he waved the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra during his hard work.
In addition to being a music director at the St. Petersburg Revival Music Festival, he has been invited several times to the Roman Opera, Nantes Opera, and Sicilian Music Festival, especially at the Roman Opera where many of the ballet is entrusted. Since 2009 he has been appointed conductor of the Tokyo New City Orchestra and has been appointed conductor of the Rostov Opera since 2010.
