Personz is a Japanese pop and rock band formed in 1983 with the lead vocalist Jill, Tsukasa Tanaka, Mitsugu Watanabe, and Tsutomu Fujita. Along with Lindberg, Jitterin' Jinn and Rebecca, Personz is known for being one of the earliest examples of popular female-fronted Japanese rock.

Personz released the first mini-album ROMANTIC REVOLUTION from the indie label HEADS-U in 1986. The following year, the second mini-album "POWER-PASSION" won the 1st place on the indies chart. In the same year, they made a major debut with the 1st album "PERSONZ" from Teichiku BAIDIS label. In 1989, "DEAR FRIENDS" was assigned to the TBS drama "Mamaha Habagi" and its straight, melodic sound was explosively spread throughout Japan.

In March 1989, 3rd album "NO MORE TEARS" won the 2nd place on Oricon album chart. In the same year, the following 4th album "DREAMERS ONLY" won the first place. Then the guitarist Keisuke Honda resigned in 1992 but returned after 10 years in 2002. Currently active with original members.

In 2011, they released LIMITED Single 12 that can only be purchased on the official site. They postponed the Tohoku tour in that year due to the earthquake.

In June 3rd, 2015, 20th Album "Arrow of Dreams-TRIUMPH OF DREAM" was released from Universal. They also held the Budokan live as the 31st anniversary of the formation. In 2016, after more than half a year off, "HIT THE ROAD" tour started.
