Takahashi Atsushi was born in Toyama Prefecture. He graduated from Shizuku Gakuen University. Studied trumpet with Mr. Naohiro Tsunoda, Yukihiro Sekiyama, Ms. Sakuzaki Foshisa.
He got first place in the 65th Japan Music Competition(Trumpet Division); first place in the 13th Japan Conduit Percussion Competition (Trumpet Division). Thanks to these accomplishments, he received the "Toyama Prize" and others from Toyama Prefecture Mirai Foundation.
In 1996, he joined the New Japan Symphony Orchestra (now the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra) as assistant chief player.

He is also a visiting professor at Shimizu Gakuen music university, visiting professor at Ueno Gakuen University, lecturer at Tokyo College of Music.
