Osamu Sasaki was born in 1955 in Japan, he was granted an Austrian Government Scholarship and studied at Mozarteum University Salzburg under virtuosos such as Herbert von Karajan, Sergiu Celibidache and Gerhard Wimberger. He graduated from the Orchestral Conducting Department at Mozarteum University with honors and was later invited to work as a permanent professor of orchestral conducting.
