Yaizaki Hikotaro ( born on February 7, 1947) is a conductor in Japan from Tokyo. He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts - the Department of Music. He studied under Kaneko Kane, Watanabe Akio, Yamada Kazuo, Hans Swarovski, Serge Cheribidache and others.

After serving as Assistant to Seiji Ozawa at the Japan Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, he was a conductor of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Principal Guest Conductor of the Norwegian National Radio Orchestra, Principal Guest Conductor of the German Hof Symphony Orchestra, Music Orchestra / Principal Conductor of the Orchestra, Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. He has served as a music director / honorary conductor. In 2002, he received the Exxon Mobil Music Award (Encouragement Prize).
As a Japanese conductor it is rare to be familiar with French objects. Currently he is the lead conductor of the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra.
