Avila Beach is an unincorporated community in San Luis Obispo County, California, United States, located on San Luis Obispo Bay about 160 miles (257 km) northwest of Los Angeles, and about 200 miles (320 km) south of San Francisco. For statistical purposes, the United States Census Bureau has defined Avila Beach as a census-designated place (CDP). The census definition of the area may not precisely correspond to local understanding of the area with the same name. The population was 1,627 at the 2010 census.
The name Avila commemorates Miguel Ávila, who was granted Rancho San Miguelito in 1842. The town was established in the latter half of the 19th century, when it served as the main shipping port for San Luis Obispo. Around this time, Luigi Marre built a honeymoon hotel here and steamboats brought customers from San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Although Avila Beach still has a working commercial fishing pier and the inland areas have extensive apple orchards, tourism is now the main industry. There are few historical structures remaining; among the oldest is the Point San Luis Light, built in 1890 after a series of shipping accidents.

In the late 1990s, Unocal began the cleanup of decades old oil seepage discovered years earlier from corroding pipes under the township, and which had caused a massive oil spill under the town. Over 6,750 truckloads of contaminated material was sent to a Bakersfield landfill, and replaced with clean Guadalupe Dunes sand. Many of the town's homes and businesses, including several blocks of Front Street, were razed as a result of the quarter-mile-wide excavation. New buildings, homes, businesses, modern walkways and sea motif walls and benches have been constructed.

Heidi. (stylized as heidi.) is a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in Tokyo in February 2006. They gained popularity after performing at the memorial concert on the 10th anniversary of the death of the musician hide on May 4, 2008 to tens of thousands of people. Their third album was released in Europe by Gan-Shin records in 2009 and the following year Heidi. signed to major label Geneon Universal Entertainment.
Heidi.'s first one-man show, titled 「Birth・Day」, was on June 3, 2006. Their first single, "Yuuyake to Kodomo/Maria", was also sold at that show. The following year they released their debut album, Kasou, on April 25, 2007. The label was their own O Market, which was formed by their management Headwax Organization, who also managed hide, being run by his brother Hiroshi Matsumoto.

On May 4, 2008, they performed at the hide memorial summit alongside legendary bands such as X Japan, Luna Sea and others. On September 21, 2008, D'erlanger held Abstinence's Door #002, where Heidi., Inoran and Merry performed.

In 2009, Heidi. went on a three-man tour called Counter Culture with lynch. and Sadie. They released their third album, Panorama, on September 23. They covered hide with Spread Beaver's "Pink Spider" for the compilation Crush! -90's V-Rock Best Hit Cover Songs-, the album was released on January 26, 2011 and features current visual kei bands covering songs from bands that were important to the '90s visual kei movement. Heidi.'s single "Gekkou Showtime" was used as the theme song for the movie Maebashi Visual Kei, which stars Shunsuke Kazama as a young farmer who tries to make it big in a visual kei band. The band members themselves also make an appearance in the film. In July 2011, Heidi. made their United States debut at the anime convention AM².

JACK+MW resumed activities at their secret live in 2015/05 and held their free one-man live "Agitate the obscene prefecture" at NAGOYA HOLIDAY NEXT at 2015/06/22 with a new line-up.

Toshiki Kadomatsu (角松 敏生, born 12 August 1960) is a Japanese rock/R&B singer-songwriter, musician, and producer. He has released many studio albums, as well as several instrumental and live albums.

He studied Philosophy at Nihon University. He has been active since at least 1981 and is still active, having released his most recent album in May 2017. In 1987 he released the hit instrumental album "SEA IS A LADY" which charted at #4. He has written and produced music for other artists, including "You're My Only Shinin' Star" by Miho Nakayama, which reached #1 on the Oricon weekly charts and stayed there for 18 weeks, as well as the album "Timely!!" by Anri. He composed the music for the 2002 film "Shiroi-fune".

Aiko Yamaide's liveshow

Aiko Yamaide (山出愛子) is the 7th student council president of Sakura Gakuin. She had been in the group since 2013 until 2018.

Aiko Yamaide was born on December 1, 2002 and her family named her after the Imperial Princess Aiko because they too wanted Aiko to be loved by everyone. They also named her this because Aiko was born exactly one year after the birth of the Princess.

She loves to watch movies and watch DVD's, her hobby is to also observe others and her favorite food is ice-cream. Her skills are playing the piano and dancing while her dream is to be a singer-songwriter.

On September 25, 2011 "Genkin! Kagoshima" held an event called the "1st Kagoshima CM Star☆Project" and she passed allowing her to play the role of Amelie the character in the American Home Direct Ad. On May 25, 2012 with the name "Amelie and Tamari" a charity single was released for the reconstruction support of the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami. This single was called "Ame Hare Chuchu" which was only released to those in Kagoshima. On the second day of "KTS Day 2013" on September 22, 2013, she graduated from her activities as Amelie.

When Aiko went to see Tokyo Top Kids Collection A/W 2012 on August 1 her mother went to the office of Amuse and received a newcomer scouting project for "TTKC Scout". In May 5 2013, "Sakura Gakuin ~Transfer Ceremony~" was held and therefore joining the group as the youngest member. On May 7 2017 during "Sakura Gakuin ~Transfer Ceremony~" she was appointed the student council president.

On March 24, 2018 Aiko graduated from Sakura Gakuin along with Megumi Okada and Momoko Okazaki.

On July 24, 2017 Aiko participated in the live event of "Happy Ice Cream" playing 3 songs and 1 original "Taisetsu na Kimi e" on the grand piano. It was her first time performing as a solo musician.

On July 18, 2018 her official website was opened. It was also announced her first solo single will be released on August 22.

Kenji Sawada's liveshow

Kenji Sawada (沢田 研二, born June 25, 1948) is a Japanese singer, composer, lyricist and actor, best known for being the vocalist for the Japanese rock band The Tigers. Nicknamed "Julie" because of his self professed adoration of Julie Andrews, he was born in Tsunoi, Iwami (now part of Tottori), Tottori Prefecture, Japan, and raised in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto at age 3.

As a singer (often he also worked as a songwriter) and actor, Sawada prospered greatly on Japanese popular culture in the last three decades of the Shōwa era. At the end of the 1960s, he had great success as the lead singer of the band The Tigers. After the breakup of The Tigers and another project Pyg, he began his own solo career.

Music career

Sawada was the lead singer of the best-known J-pop music act of the late 1960s Group Sounds era band The Tigers. A national teen idol, his nickname is Julie. Japanese pop stars of that era often adopted nicknames, particularly often English-language girls' names. His nickname is derived from the actress Julie Andrews as he is a fan of hers. The group was signed by Watanabe

Productions.

In 1968, Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees was commissioned to compose two songs for the band in an attempt at international success. One of the songs was a hit in Japan, titled "Smile for Me" and sung by Sawada. In spite of his clear English pronunciation, the record did not make the pop charts in foreign markets as the Watanabe Productions management team had hoped. The band disbanded shortly after its release.

In 1970, after The Tigers broke up, Sawada formed the supergroup, Pyg. Kenichi Hagiwara, Sawada's main rival in the Group Sounds era, was a co-lead vocalist. When Pyg disbanded, Sawada went solo, but the acting was to be his main form of artistic expression after that. Sawada started to wear trendy clothes and make-up in the 1970s and became regarded as an influential fashion innovator.

In the 1980s he was in Co-Colo with Hideki Ishima.

Sawada also plays the shamisen. He appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone in March 1969 (No. 28), and is the only Japanese as a cover person of this magazine other than Yoko Ono.

Film career

Sawada's best-known roles include playing in Paul Schrader's biopic movie about Yukio Mishima, Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters and playing in Takashi Miike's horror-comedy musical The Happiness of the Katakuris.

After graduating from middle school in 1994, Nakajima moved to Tokyo. On the same year, he formed the visual kei band MAGGIE MAE with two other people. After MAGGIE MAE disbanded in 1998, Nakajima was signed under Sony Music Entertainment in 1999 and made his debut as a soloist on October 21, 1999, with his first single "Triangle" under the stage name TAKUI.

Following his debut, he was switched to Nippon Columbia, releasing his first album NUCLEAR SONIC PUNK. After his contract with Nippon Columbia ended in 2003, he joined UP-FRONT in 2004 the following year signed under the zetima label. As of March 2006, he now is credited by his real name.

On March 27, 2019, Nakajima released a self-cover album titled "GIRLS LOOK AHEAD" featuring solo covers of songs he wrote and composed for various Hello! Project groups, Ciao Bella Cinquetti, LoVendoЯ, Yajima Maimi, and Tasaki Asahi.

indigo la End

indigo la End is a Japanese rock band led by vocalist and songwriter Enon Kawatani. The band released their debut extended play in 2012 with independent label Space Shower Records and were later signed by Warner sub-label Unborde.

The band first began in April 2009, however after a member change began full activities from February 2010. The original bassist, E ni Naranai Kachō, left the band in July 2011. In January he was replaced with Mariko Wada, and the band released their debut extended play Sayōnara, Subarashii Sekai in April 2012. Mariko Wada left soon after in June, with the band releasing a second extended play Nagisa nite in September.

The band released their debut album Yoru ni Mahō o Kakerarete in February 2013. Two months later saw the debut of another band of vocalist Enon Kawatani's, Gesu no Kiwami Otome, when they released the extended play Dress no Nugikata. Gesu no Kiwami Otome featured former indigo la End bassist E ni Naranai Kachō. In December, the band was signed to Warner sub-label Unborde simultaneously with Gesu no Kiwami Otome. Both musical units released their major label debut released on April 2, 2014: Minna Normal for Gesu no Kiwami Otome and Ano Machi Record for Indigo la End.

In the remainder of 2014, the band released two singles, Hitomi ni Utsuranai and Sayonara Bell the end of the band's performance at the Countdown Japan 14/15 new years music festival, band drummer Yūsuke Ōta announced his retirement from the band, citing differences in opinion for the future of the band. His final recordings with the band are featured on their second studio album, Shiawase ga Afuretara (2015).

Later in 2015, the band released the singles Kanashiku Naru Mae Ni and the double A-Side single Shizuku ni Koi Shite/Wasurete Hanataba, which was followed by another single in 2016, Kokoro Ame. In July 2016, the band released their third studio album, and second major label album, Aiiro Music (2016).

In 2017, the band's song Kane Naku Inochi was featured as the opening theme song of the Japanese television drama Inside Mari, and was released as part of the band's third major label album, and fourth studio album, Crying End Roll (2017). That same year, band leader Kawatani Enon's birthday on December 3rd served as the release date for the band's first digital single, Touya no Magic. This was followed in April 2018 by a second digital single, Haru no Iutōri, and the announcement of their fifth studio and fourth major label album, PULSATE (2018), released July 2018.

The band's name was inspired by Japanese band Spitz and their album Indigo Chiheisen (1996).

Monthly Hikashu: May

Hikashu (ヒカシュー) is a Japanese rock band led by pseudo-Kabuki vocalist, Makigami Koichi, known for their highly experimental music. They are often referred to by their alternative English moniker, Hikasu. The group's most recent album, Ikite Koi Chinmoku, was released in 2015.

A theatrical artist Koichi Makigami met Makoto Inoue in the art club of their junior high school in 1970 ... this could be the start of HIKASHU.

Koichi and Makoto joined a Japanese dramatic troupe Tokyo Kid Brothers and gave public performances in New York or London, but sadly broke up soon after the performance in London. Lumiere and Son, born as a London avant-garde theatrical company in those days and supported by Roger Waters or Henry Cow, appreciated their artistic talent and invited them as guests. Koichi and Makoto say they could get much impact in avantgarde stages of Lumiere and Son. In mid-1970s Koichi as a theatrical producer, and Makoto as a synthesizer musician gained much experience ... especially upon a performance 'Collecting Net', on that stage, Koichi, Makoto, and Yasushi YAMASHΙTA appeared.

HIKASHU were formed by Makoto, Yasushi, and Tadahiro WAKABAYASHI - a sitarist and the owner of Raoya, a live house in Kichijoji (Tokyo) - in 1978, featuring tabla or sitar, much influenced by the music of India. On the other hand, Koichi session with Masamichi MITAMA and Satoshi TOBE and formed a three-piece unit RU-INCHI (even currently sometimes appeared on stage as Koichi's another project). These two outfits met upon a performance named 'Yochu No Kiki' produced by Koichi, and at this moment HIKASHU was formally reborn as a five-piece band - Koichi MAKIGAMI (voices, bass, cornet, theremin etc.), Masamichi MITAMA (now Freeman MITA; guitars, sitar), Makoto INOUE (synthesizer, mellotron, keyboards), Satoshi TOBE (saxophone, guitar), and Yasushi YAMASHITA (Rhythmbox, synthesizer, timpani).

For the first time, HIKASHU appeared on the stage of Raoya on August 29th, 1978. Haruo Chikada, a renowned radio DJ, got much interested in their samples and offered production for their albums. In October 1979 their debut single 'In The End Of 20th Century' was released via East World / Toshiba EMI (Japan). And they released the first album 'Hikashu' and the second 'Natsu (Summer)' successively in 1980. In those days they were considered as a techno-pop band and TV media took up their stuff in some special articles or programs, but since 1981, the third album 'Uwasa No Jinrui' released, they have shown more experimental colors in their music style, attitude, performances.

HIKASHU has been active as a band, performers, a theatrical creator, and a music producer for movies, TV programs or CMs, and a pioneer of Japanese Underground Pop & Rock scene. The frontman Koichi MAKIGAMI plays like a performance producer or a solo artist, parallel to HIKASHU.

Maneki Kecak (まねきケチャ) is a Japanese idol group formed in 2015. Their name is sometimes written as Maneki Kecha. It currently consists of 5 members. Each one has been assigned a color. Maneki Kecak is a sister group of drop.
The group has continuously received considerable attention for their outstanding singing skills and remarkably cute looks. Their concerts have countlessly been sold out and their 1st and 2nd singles reached the 1st rank on the ORICON daily chart. Maneki Kecak is active internationally. The group has performed at international festivals including "JAPAN EXPO 2018" in Paris, France.

The project started in March 2015. 5 girls passed the audition : Nakagawa Miyuu, Fujikawa Chiai, Fujisaki Mayuka, Miyauchi Rin and Matsushita Reona. The names of the idol group and of its members were revealed in July 2015. The girls were introduced and made their first appearance on stage during a live event in August 2015.

The nationwide live tour Manekare Japan (まねかれジャパン) was held from March to May 2017. Concerts took place in 7 cities across the country. As a gravure idol, Matsushita Reona graced the cover of Weekly Playboy (週刊プレイボーイ) in May 2017. Several photos of her in swimsuit were published in the magazine.

Maneki Kecak made their 2nd major debut with the single Dou Demo Ii ya / Arikitari na Kotoba de (どうでもいいや / ありきたりな言葉で) on sale in June 2017.
The girls held a free live performance at the Osaka Castle concert hall in September 2017. In November 2017, Fukase Mio joined the idol group as a new member. Some pictures of Miyauchi Rin and Matsushita Reona in bikini as gravure idols were published in the December 2017 issue of Weekly Playboy.

Maneki Kecak signed under the label Nippon Columbia in January 2018. Fujikawa Chiai went on hiatus during a month between March and April 2018.
They held a live performance as guests at the Tokyo Idol Festival in Bangkok Comic Con in Thailand in April 2018.
Their 1st album Kimi Wazurai (きみわずらい) and the single Kagami no Naka Kara / Atashi no Nokori Zenbu Ageru (鏡の中から / あたしの残りぜんぶあげる) were released simultaneously in April 2018.

The song Kagami no Naka Kara is the ending theme for the anime GeGeGe no Kitaro (ゲゲゲの鬼太郎).
Maneki Kecak participated in Japan Expo 2018 in Paris Nord Villepinte, France, in July. They gave a concert at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo in September 2018.

Tokyo Girls' Style

Tokyo Girls' Style (東京女子流) is a Japanese idol girl group created by Avex Trax. Originally consisting of five members, Miyu Yamabe, Hitomi Arai, Yuri Nakae, Ayano Konishi and Mei Shyoji, the group was the first idol group that Avex had created in seven years. Konishi retired from the group in December 2015.
The group's name symbolizes that the group is full of surprises and it is unknown how they would develop in the future, much like Tokyo's image. They also hope that they can one day emulate Tokyo's success in areas such as entering overseas markets and coming up with their own unique style.

Avex created the group Tokyo Girls' Style in 2009 to capitalize on the rising demand for Japanese idol girl groups, a trend fueled by the success of the female idol group AKB48. Members of the group later said that they had previously worked with this record label before, and were reportedly encouraged to audition for the new group. On December 1, 2009 the Japanese media made reports about this new group, though Avex kept the identities of the group's members a secret until January 1, 2010. From January 1 to January 5, 2010, Avex gradually released more information on the members of the group and launched the group's official website.

The group's debut single, "Kirari" (キラリ☆ , lit. "Sparkling"), was released on May 5, 2010, reaching a peak position of 30th place on the Oricon charts. Their second single, "Onnaji Kimochi" (おんなじキモチ, "Same Feeling"), was subsequently released on May 19, 2010. Their first album, Kodou no Himitsu, which is a compilation of their previous singles, was released in Japan on May 4, 2011. This album peaked at the 25th position on the Oricon charts.

In order to break into other Asian markets, Tokyo Girls' Style re-recorded the song in their second single, "Onnaji Kimochi", in Mandarin Chinese. This version of the song was included in the album entitled 心跳的秘密 (Xīntiào de mìmì), which was released in Taiwan on May 4, 2011, and in Hong Kong one week later. The group admitted that "They were worried that their singing is not good because the Chinese pronunciation is so hard [to grasp]."

Orquesta de la Luz

Orquesta de la Luz (オルケスタ・デ・ラ・ルス) ("Orchestra of the Light") is a Japanese salsa band that was formed in 1984 and began performing and recording in 1990. The band sings in Spanish and is led by vocalist Nora, who returned to traditional salsa after the band broke up in the mid-1990s.
It became widely famous in Latin America, particularly in Colombia, Puerto Rico, Panama, Mexico, Perú and other Caribbean area countries. The Japanese salsa band Orquesta de La Luz was quite a large one, whose main focal point (and only consistent member throughout their tenure together) was singer Nora.
Throughout the years, Nora was joined by a rotating cast of musicians in the group, including Gen Ogimi, percussion; Carlos Kanno, percussion; Genichi Egawa, timbales; Gen Date, conga; Hiroshi Sawada, bass; Satoru Shoinoya, piano, keyboards; Shiro Sasaki, trumpet; Tatsuya Shimogami, trumpet; Yoshihito Fukumoto, trumpet; Hideaki Nakaji, trombone; and Taisei Aoki, trombone, while co-producer/arranger Sergio George contributed keyboards from time to time.
The group built a substantial following in their homeland during the early to mid-'90s (with such releases as 1990's Orquesta de La Luz, 1991's Sin Fronteras, and 1992's Somos Diferentes), before switching their sound primarily to jazz and ballads. By 1995, Orquesta de La Luz had broken up, with Nora launching a solo career shortly thereafter (and returning to her former band's early salsa sound).

CHOKE presents ”BEEF” -Tokyo-

CHOKE is a young Japanese band and formed in the spring of 2017. Currently, they have been working in Tokyo with four members: B5 (bass), REON (vocal), KVYA NONO (guitar), TOSSY (drum).

They chose themselves a strange style both apperance and genre, the music fuses RAPMETAL and Djent using 8 string guitar. They are pursuing and aiming for a band that has not existed so far.　

The first album "CHOKE 1" was released in 2017 appointed by Orihiro Yamanaka who ha worked as an engineer of former ARTEMA MEG, CRYSTAL LAKE and HER NAME IN BLOOD and in this time, he joined in without experiences with the 8 string guitar.

Nazareth ( ; Hebrew: נָצְרַת ‬, Natzrat; Arabic: النَّاصِرَة ‎, an-Nāṣira; Aramaic: ܢܨܪܬ ‎, Naṣrath) is the capital and the largest city in the Northern District of Israel. NAMBA 69 (Number Sixty Nine) is a Japanese melodic punk band. Members: Akihiro Namba, K5, Ko-hey, Sambu. When Akihiro Namba started his solo project in 2010, K5 was his first choice on the guitar. They actively started playing big festivals like Fuji Rock Festival. In 2013, they officially announced a new single called "Melodic Punks Not Dead!!!" under the band name NAMBA69. They released their debut album in December 2014, "21st Century Dream".
In 2015, NAMBA69 won the Red Bull Battle of the Bands contest to produce their next album at Red Bull Studios Tokyo, the former site of Red Bull Music Academy. In 2019, Namba69 have announced a release date for their upcoming second full length entitled Changes. The record will hit shelves May 15 featuring 14 brand new songs.

ENTH is a punk band in Nagoya, Japan. In 2018, three people, daipon (Vo & Ba) / Naoki (Gt & Cho) / takumi (Dr & Cho) are working with Waiwai Kashiya.

Even though it is based on melodic punk, it has a composition sense with which creates a hybrid mixture sound that can not be caught in the word of genre at all. Not only kids but also bandmans, artists and related people are widely recognized.

In April 2014 2nd Mini Album "Never Let Go" was released. At the end of the year, they collaborated with EVERLONG and Nagoya CLUB QUATTRO "JUNGLE TYPHOON". They held a 2 man live with great success.

Shadows Fall is an American heavy metal band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1995. Although the band has experienced several line-up changes, for most of its recording career, Shadows Fall has been composed of Jon Donais (lead guitar), Matt Bachand (rhythm guitar, clean vocals), Paul Romanko (bass), Brian Fair (lead vocals), and Jason Bittner (drums).
Shadows Fall has released seven studio albums, two compilation albums, and two DVDs. The band's first album featured Philip Labonte (of All That Remains) on lead vocals; but, he was soon replaced by Fair. Shadows Fall's first two studio albums featured David Germain playing drums; however, in 2002, Bittner joined the band full-time. In February 2008, the band was a Grammy Award nominee in the category Best Metal Performance for the song "Redemption" off the album Threads of Life. In late 2011, the band entered the studio to begin recording their latest studio album. The album, Fire From the Sky, was released on May 15, 2012 and was the first to be produced by Adam Dutkiewicz since the band's first studio release.
Shadows Fall was formed in 1995 by guitarists Jonathan Donais and Matt Bachand, then good friends from the local music scene. Bachand had previously been a founding member of a death metal band and Donais a member of the metalcore band Aftershock. By 1996 the band had found a complete lineup with the addition of Damien McPherson (vocals), Mark Laliberte (bass), and David Germain (drums). Also in 1996, Adam Dutkiewicz performed live drums to fill in for Germain. By late 1996, the band recorded and released a demo titled Mourning a Dead World, of which only about 200 copies were produced. It consisted of the songs Lifeless, Suffer the Season, Fleshold, Forever Lost, A Souls Salvation, and Deadworld. McPherson decided to leave the band, and was replaced by Philip Labonte in 1997. Around the same time, bass guitarist Paul Romanko, formally of the hardcore band Pushbutton Warfare, was recruited as a permanent replacement for Laliberte, who had originally joined on a temporary basis. Now with a more solid lineup, the band released its first EP, To Ashes, with Dutkiewicz playing as a session drummer. The band's name, according to Bachand, comes from the title of a comic book published in the early 1990s.

Otsuki Kenji, Zunou Keisatsu, ROLLY: Shibuya song day concert 2019

Kenji Ohtsuki (Ōtsuki Kenji, born February 6, 1966 in Nakano, Tokyo) is a Japanese rock musician and Seiun Award-winning writer. His musical career began in the late 1970s. He is the vocalist of Kinniku Shōjo Tai, Tokusatsu, Underground Searchlie and Karate Bakabon. The lyrics of a Kinniku Shōjo Tai's song "Doko e demo Ikeru Kitte" affected the character design of Rei Ayanami, from the popular anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. He's also performed the theme songs to several anime, including Welcome to the N.H.K., Hellsing and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

In primary school, Ootsuki and classmate Yūichirō Uchida wanted to become manga artists, but they soon started to discover the big names of prog rock like King Crimson and Pink Floyd; Japanese new wave bands like YMO, Hikashu and P-Model; and the Japanese punk rock of Kenji Endo, Zunou Keisatsu, Jagatara, The Stalin and INU. Ootsuki was greatly influenced by all these bands, and started to become interested in music. Apart from music, the manga artists that most influenced him at the time were Yoshikazu Ebisu and Daijiro Morohoshi.

In 1979, after joking around at Uchida's birthday party, they formed a band with a few friends (called "Dotechinzu", or "The Donzu"). At first none of the members could play any instruments apart from Uchida, who played the Electone keyboard. Ootsuki tapped the rhythm with a bamboo stick. The band broke up after the members graduated from middle school.

In February 1982, him and Uchida formed the Japanese rock band Kinniku Shōjo Tai (back then called Kinniku Shōnen Shōjo Tai), with Ootsuki in charge of lyrics, vocals and bass. At the time Kera (Keralino Sandorovich), a senior student from Uchida's high school, had just heard the tapes they'd recorded as Dotechinzu and liked them, after which he joined Ootsuki and Uchida to form the side-project "Karate Bakabon". They released their self-titled release on Nagomu Records, the independent label run by Kera. After that, Kinniku Shoujo would also release a few albums on Nagomu. The first time they played live it became apparent that Ootsuki couldn't play bass and sing at the same time, so he entrusted the position to Uchida, who had played keyboards up until then. Then in the second half of the '80s they signed onto a major label. The way they described themselves in their promotional slogans was with the phrase "Rockers who get their leather pants from their parents".

Ever since the beginning, Ootsuki was the band's frontman, and in order to promote the band, he began appearing on All Night Nippon as a radio personality. From there he started to appear in various forms of media, even in talk shows like Tetsuko no Heya. Ootsuki says he was extremely nervous on his first appearance on Tetsuko no Heya, and could hardly manage to answer the questions he was being asked.

While the band switched labels several times, Ootsuki started his solo career with the project "UNDERGROUND SEARCHLIE", collaborated with bands like NINGEN-ISU, and continued with Kinniku Shoujo Tai until they disbanded in 1999. After disbanding, Ootsuki formed a new band called "Tokusatsu". Also, he formed the band "Densha" with musicians who had helped him on his solo efforts, like Ishizuka BERA Norihiro (from qyb, Kinniku Shoujo Tai and a support member for SOFT BALLET), Obata Pump (from Scanch, and Kenji Sato (from MARCHOSIAS VAMP). Apart from that, he continued to collaborate with various musicians under names like "Ooken & Nise Tokusatsu" (Ooken & the fake Tokusatsu), "Ootsuki Kenji & Yangusu" (Ootsuki Kenji & Youngs) or "Ootsuki Kenji & namae wa nandemo ii" (Ootsuki Kenji & whoever) to perform at all sorts of events. Even nowadays, he uses the side-project "Ootsuki Kenjis" (of which he is the only fixed member) to create music for anime and tokusatsu movies, for special events and shows or to play jazz and acoustic sets.

Since 1998, he regularly hosts an event in the Shinjuku Loft Plus One called "Nohohon Gakkou" ("Nonchalant School"), to which he invites guests from the Japanese subculture to talk.

Kinniku Shōjo Tai's had dissolved partly because of bad feelings amongst some of the members, but in July 2006 they held an event called "reconciliation" and reformed. In December of that same year they played their come-back live. Then on the 25th the "Ootsuki Kenji and Tokusatsu Fan Club" announced that Tokusatsu were disbanding. However, Ootsuki himself later stated on his blog that it was just needed some time to "recharge their batteries". Even so, during that time all of Ootsuki's solo projects and shows were played together with Tokusatsu members, like the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei theme songs and live shows. In 2011, Tokusatsu reformed, released a new album and started playing live again.

Since the first half of the '90s, apart from fronting Kinniku Shōjo Tai Ootsuki also began his literary career. He wrote various novels like "Shinkoushuukyou Omoide Kyou"("Church of Memories, a new religion"), "Gumi Chokoreeto Pain" ("Gummy Chocolate Pineapple"), or "Stacy" (which was later adapted into a film), and also published essays like "Ooken no nohohon nikki" ("Ooken's nonchalant diary"). His literary style is greatly influenced by the "Shōwa Keihaku Tai" genre (or "Frivolous Shōwa Style"). He's also a member of the Japanese Sci-Fi writer's club, but according to Ootsuki himself he hardly ever turns up.

Ever since Kinniku Shōjo Tai's come-back in 2007 he has stopped writing novels, but his serialized essays and talks are still active.

Rolly Teranishi or ROLLY (September 6, 1963 -) is a Japanese entertainer, musician, music producer.

Teranishi is well-recognized as the lead guitarist and vocalist of the Japanese rock band, Scanch (すかんち Sukanchi). Scanch continued until 1996. Once Scanch broke up, Rolly pursued his solo musical career and also acting.

Outside of Japan, Teranishi is known almost entirely for his role as Genesis in the Japanese thriller Suicide Circle (2002). He is in the movies Iden & Tity, Swallowtail, Get It On?. He also made an appearance as "Yaha" in the PlayStation 2 game Drag-on Dragoon 2.

Teranishi is a fan of Tim Burton and his works as a movie director; he owns a costume of his favorite Tim Burton character, Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Being a big fan of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, he has made several appearances in the stage performances in Japan as Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Other stage performances include the role of Captain Hook in Peter Pan and the Fox and the Conceited Man in Le Petit Prince. His most recent stage role was in the first Japanese production of Tommy, playing the parts of Cousin Kevin and the Pinball Wizard.

2006 was the 15th-year anniversary of Scanch. All the members of Scanch reunited for two concerts that occurred on March 10 and March 17. It was also released on CD (Scanch’n’Roll Show II).

Teranishi starred in a TV show called Rock Fujiyama alongside Marty Friedman, ex-lead guitarist of the thrash metal band Megadeth. Rolly also appears in his own television show Rolly Kingdom every two weeks and also co-hosts KKTV, a family show that airs every Saturday night.

He has also contributed to the soundtrack of Kamen Rider Agito for his performance of the third ending theme "Deep Breath." This was the second song that he performed as the lead vocalist for Rider Chips, after being featured as a vocalist on "Power Child."

He recently voiced Tamatoa in the Japanese dub version of the Disney film Moana.

Zunou Keisatsu is the Japanese ur-punk/rock band formed in 1970 by Panta and Toshiaki Ishizuka. The group's name means "Brain Police" (Zuno Keisatsu in Japanese) and was taken from a Frank Zappa song. They rapidly became known for the extreme left-wing opinions expressed in their lyrics. The group released six studio albums before splitting up in 1975. They later reformed in 1991 and again in 2001.

Zunou Keisatsu's legend and notoriety stem mainly from their involvement with radical leftist politics in the 70's, and the banning of their first two records because of the controversial lyrical content. As Julian Cope writes: "They were formed in the late ‘60s by vocalist and guitarist Panta, who had formerly played with festival obscurities Peanut Butter, Mojo and Spartacus Bunt, and Brain Police songs were all built around the guitarist’s fist-in-the-air people-at-the-barricades lyrics. Taking their name from the early Mothers of Invention song ‘Who Are The Brain Police?’ the band survived long enough to make six LPs and continued until the end of 1975. However, there are two obvious peaks in their career, the first being their rousing duo performance at the GENYA anti-airport protest festival, when Panta and conga player Toshi shared a bill with Blues Creation, Masauki Takayanagi’s free rock New Direction For The Arts, and Keiji Haino’s Lost Aaraaff. Performances of the songs ‘Pick Up Your Gun’ and the seven-minute chant ‘World Revolutionary War Declaration’ received such a positive response from the crowd that the nihilism of closing act Lost Aaraaff was greeted with large rocks hurled from the Sanrizuka fields."
