The Fox Broadcasting Company (often shortened to Fox and stylized in all capital letters as FOX) is an American commercial broadcast television network that is a flagship property of Fox Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of 21st Century Fox. The network is headquartered at the 20th Century Fox studio in Los Angeles, with additional major offices and production facilities at the Fox Television Center also in Los Angeles and the Fox Broadcasting Center in New York City.
Launched on October 9, 1986, as a competitor to the Big Three television networks (ABC, CBS and NBC), Fox went on to become the most successful attempt at a fourth television network. It was the highest-rated broadcast network in the 18–49 demographic from 2004 to 2012, and earned the position as the most-watched American television network in total viewership during the 2007–08 season.
Fox and its affiliated companies operate many entertainment channels in international markets, although these do not necessarily air the same programming as the U.S. network. Most viewers in Canada have access to at least one U.S.-based Fox affiliate, either over-the-air or through a pay television provider, although Fox's National Football League telecasts and most of its prime time programming are subject to simultaneous substitution regulations for cable and satellite providers imposed by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to protect rights held by domestically based networks.
The network is named after sister company 20th Century Fox, and indirectly for producer William Fox, who founded one of the movie studio's predecessors, Fox Film. Fox is a member of the North American Broadcasters Association and the National Association of Broadcasters.
20th Century Fox had been involved in television production as early as the 1950s, producing several syndicated programs. Following the demise of the DuMont Television Network in August of that year after it became mired in severe financial problems, the NTA Film Network was launched as a new "fourth network". 20th Century Fox would also produce original content for the NTA network. The film network effort would fail after a few years, but 20th Century Fox continued to dabble in television through its production arm, TCF Television Productions, producing series (such as Perry Mason) for the three major broadcast television networks (ABC, NBC, and CBS).

The early influences from which they derived inspiration were bands such as SCORPIONS, SAVAGE GRACE, RUNNING WILD, to name a few. And from that point onward they kept developing and refining their sound through their succession of demos and live shows.
When they came across the sounds of RUSH and FATES WARNING, whose progressive ways to approach music totally fascinated the band, VIGILANTE's attention turned towards making their music more artistic and dramatic.
It might have been a hard time for such a band to carry on, given the music scene in the late eighties Japan. After all, at that time, People who knew even the word "Progressive Metal" were few and far
between. But despite these circumstances, they got the chance to be introduced to the manager of Gibson Japan at that time, Loyd Love. And so it came to be, that once they'd borrowed some Gibson
guitars from his office, within one week, they were able to complete a new demo called "FATAL SUPERSTITION". When he finished listening to their demo, Love described the band as "A perfect hybrid sound of eastern music and western music".
Soon thereafter, Hiroshi became an endorser of Gibson USA.
However, it wasn't long before VIGILANTE had to endure the serial replacements of many of its original members. The loss of its members was a crunch for the band and they had to take a hiatus for a while.
After several months, VIGILANTE resumed with a new line-up. In addition to the stable guitar team of Hiroshi and Kazuaki Horie, they had new vocalist, Hideaki Niwa, new drummer, Kazuhisa Yoshimura, and a new bass player, Makoto Unno.

The band released their second album "EDGE OF TIME" in September 1999. Its well-defined power-metal and aggressive styling was greeted favorably by fans all over the world.
And a short two months later, EU version of "EDGE OF TIME" was released in November 1999.
Subsequently, they released the single "THUMBNAIL AT YOU, MASTER" kind of expressing funny side of them as shown in the CD front cover. However, the single unexpectedly landed at #5 on the singles chart of Burrn!
After the release of this album, they continued touring and composing new sounds for their nextalbum to coincide with the replacement of their drummer with Shu Yamaichi in March 2002.
In April 2002, they made a license contract with Korean label,Ponycanyon Korea and the Korean version of their double CD was soon released. The next month they visited Korea and interviewed with Korean music magazine "GMV".
In August 2004, finally their third album "COSMIC INTUITION" was released after five years.
The band kept touring and In April 2005, they made a successful performance in Seoul, Korea. And in June 2005, they joined "Bang Your Head!!!" festival again after seven years with "COSMIC INTUITION" album as a promotional tour. They received a good reaction from German metal fans there.
In July 2005, they played together with Australian power metal act DUNGEON and in September, played with Korean prog-metal band JEREMY again since the last gig in Seoul, Korea in April.
2006 saw drummer Shunji Fujino replace Shu Yamaichi due to musical differences, this young and bold rookie drummer brought a new spirit into the band nearly becoming just a mere inwardlooking
prog-metal veterans and re-energized the band's repertoire.
He also offered a great contribution to the songwriting process of new album in terms of rhythm section along with the bassist, Makoto.
The band released their fourth album "IV" in October 2008. The album took a more modern and power-metal approach to its sound in addition to their trademark of progressive metal virtuosity.
In May 2009, They had a chance to play with Brazillian power-metaler HIBRIA at Tomahawk Metal Fest in Hong Kong, since the metal festival, the friendship between VIGILANTE and HIBRIA has been contituing until now.
2009 saw the beginning of a series of metal events called "Orgasm Metal" which was launched by mainly Hideaki, the band's vocalist and more than 70 bands have participated the events so far.
In 2010, Hiroshi, VIGILANTE's leader and the guitarist came up with an idea of re-recording the old materials by current line-up to show the metal fans the band's performance at its best and the single "RETROSPECTIVE INTO CHAOS VOL.1" was released.
The band released the single "OF INSANITY AND JUSTICE" in 2012 and its limited edition had a bonus DVD "Live At Orgasm Metal 2010-2012". Their live performance on the DVD was good enough to prove VIGILANTE is a real live metal band.
Since the release of "IV", each member started their own music related activities: Hiroshi and Kazuaki, Makoto got endorsement deal from Gibson USA, Kiesel Guitars,Yamaha respectively.
Shunji had an experience of one month European tour with other band as a supporting drummer.

In 2014, RMG changed into a solo project of Hideshi Ueki with first-rate support members: singer Sunghoon Kim from South Korea, bassist Kaz Nakamura of Kelly Simonz’s Blind Faith, keyboardist Takumi Matsubara and drummer Yosuke.
After writing new songs for the new album, they got down to pre-production in early 2016. Seeking for vivid acoustic sounds, they started recordings at Tapestry Recording Studio in July, where Japanese bands like Solitude and Outrage have used. While Shinya Tange produced drum sounds, Yusuke Abe and Saeko Kitamae also guested in some songs. Last but not least, they got Alessandro Del Vecchio to mix and master their songs. On January 25th, 2017, the band released the 5th album, TOKIWA NO SAI, from Spiritual Beast under Universal Music. Currently, RMG is touring Japan and planning to tour abroad in the near future.

Gideon is an American Christian heavy metal band hailing from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who were established in 2008. The group's current label imprint is Equal Vision Records and formers were Facedown Records and Strike First Records. In 2011, the band came out with a studio album called Costs with Strike First. Their second studio album was issued in 2012, titled Milestone, under current imprinter Facedown. On Febuarary 10, 2016 Gideon announced that they left Facedown Records and signed to Equal Vision Records and will release their fourth album later in the year. The band released their first single "Pulling Teeth", on July 1, 2016.
Background
In 2008, the band started in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. They are made up of vocalist Daniel McWhorter, lead guitarist Tyler Riley, rhythm guitarist Daniel McCartney, and drummer Jake Smelley.
Music history
The outfit released an independent extended play project in 2010 with their self-titled Gideon EP. They got picked up by the smaller label division Strike First Records of Facedown Records in 2011 shortly before they debuted their first studio album Costs. Eventually, the band got the attention of Facedown, who signed the band before the release of Milestone in 2012 making it their second studio album. Even better, the second album had some prowess on a few Billboard charts and those were the Christian Albums and Heatseekers Albums.
Style
Sources have put their music into various genres, from hardcore punk to melodic hardcore to metalcore. However, the band have slowly started to pursue a harder style eschewing the more melodic styles in favor towards the thrash side of the spectrum. At its core, the music is Christian metal for its sacred elements and heavy metal in its holistic encompassing totality of the sounds it contains.
Friedman has resided in Tokyo, Japan since 2003, where he has appeared on over 700 Japanese television programs such as Rock Fujiyama, Hebimeta-san, Kouhaku uta gassen and Jukebox English. He has released albums with several record labels, including Avex Trax, Universal, EMI, Prosthetic and Shrapnel Records.
At the age of 14, after attending a KISS concert, Friedman took up the guitar, and is largely self-taught. He rushed to form a band and started playing original songs, the reason being that originals are easier to play than covers. "Because," he says, "even if you screw up, you just claim that the song is written like that and no one can challenge you." The mother of one of Marty's friends ran an event center with a two-level stage, and Marty and his friends used it as a rehearsal space. Soon word spread about their band, and, since they were in a rural area, people would come from miles around to socialize and listen to music. "Rehearsals" very quickly became live shows. Friedman formed and played lead guitar in several other bands, including Deuce, Hawaii (which had previously been called Vixen), and notably Cacophony. Cacophony featured neoclassical metal elements and synchronized twin guitar harmonies and counterpoints shared with guitarist Jason Becker.
He played guitar on the 1987 album It Won't Be Long by Christian rock band Shout. In 1988, he recorded demos for Jet Red that eventually were released as bonus tracks on the 2009 Jet Red release "Flight Plan". In August 1988, he released his first solo album, Dragon's Kiss.
THE MAN was formed in 2012 by eight members of ROCK GROOVE based on Authentic Ska, centering on former Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra's Ryuyuki cold Muta.
In May 2013 Taboo Record released the 1st album "THE MAN".
In addition to SKA fans, ROCK enthusiasts also enthusiastically participate in songs, bringing out album release, performances to festivals and events, street live performances and tours throughout the country. The explosive staging of THE MAN steadily increased the name recognition.
In the first one man held in December 2013, tickets precedent sold out on the same day.
The overcrowded venue that expanded the entrance capacity of the live house to the maximum and SOLD OUT all the tickets was enormously enthusiastic.
They have their major debut from Victor Entertainment on May 21, 2014. Their first appearance in FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '14 WHITE STAGE in July become major debut year.
In the stage performance which further accelerated the momentum of the live band, they are enthusiastic about the audience who filled the venue. They continue to decide one-man live, tours and large festivals, event appearances everywhere.
Band members have displayed their immense talent and power since their debut full-length, Mortuary in Darkness, released on Razorback Recordings in 2005. A year later, they followed up with their sophomore release, The Other Side of Blasphemy, released through Imperium Productions. This album managed to somehow increase the heaviness of Mortuary, but it wasn’t until 2008’s Buried Death that the band truly reached the sonic nirvana they had been aiming at since their beginnings.
Buried Death, which Metal Reviews referred to as “satisfyingly heavy” as well as “raw and nasty,” was released through 20 Buck Spin and would be the band’s final full-length before signing to Relapse Records in early 2011. Before the signing, Coffins spread their sound across an enormous amount of split-releases with such acclaimed acts as Warhammer, StormCrow, and Hooded Menace. Additionally, the band has performed shows with bands such as Yob and Kylesa, and has made appearances at Roadburn Afterburner and Los Angeles Murder Fest. Coffins also just finished a massive European tour, following thorough excursions in the east and west coasts as well as a successful tour in Australia.
As Coffins remain hard at work on their fourth full-length and Relapse debut, anticipation is growing rapidly. A refreshing and mind-bending amalgamation of doom and death metal’s greatest moments, Coffins has been described by The Sleeping Shaman as the sound of “deranged, zombie Sumo wrestlers who discover a mix tape of Celtic Frost, Cathedral, Autopsy and Necrophagia.” Nonetheless, there is no denying that, regardless of any esteemed influences these titans might bring to mind, no one is doing metal quite like Coffins right now.
ENDON is a music band , they work for Daymare recordings GGRR company. It was formed in 2006, an extreme noise band acting mainly in Tokyo. From the following year, they organized five people consisting of vocals, guitar, drums, and 2 noises. Noises violently run across the band in a sound like a band-like approach with a solid playing by a guitar and a drum, and a sound wrapped in a hardcore or a black metal design.
In 2011, after having split, cassette with PAINJERK, "Acme. Apathy. Amok" was announced. They actively perform live abroad and raise evaluation. In September 2014, the 1st full album "Mama" was released.
Brainoil is a United States doom and sludge metal band from Oakland, California. Brainoil members have been long-term contributors to the East Bay underground punk and metal music scene.
Brainoil's musical style is sludge metal influenced by bands such as Eyehategod, Melvins and Dystopia.
The band was originally formed in 1998 by Greg Wilkinson as a solo project called Mr.Brainoil with a Boss drum machine. Greg was joined by Nate in the summer of 2000. Greg and Nate continued to work on material throughout the summer of 2000 writing and recording a demo by the fall of 2000. Greg and Nate ditched the drum machine by the winter of 2000 and were joined by Ira Harris. Brainoil's first show was on March 3, 2001 at Mission Records in San Francisco.
Brainoil entered the studio in early 2001 to record for a split CD with fellow Oakland sludge rockers Cruevo recorded by Noah Landis of Neurosis at Mr. Toad's studios in San Francisco. The CD was released by the end of 2002 as a 4-label split release between Shifty Records, Boredom Noise, Berserker and Unknown Controller. This release has since been lost to obscurity through a lack of repressing by any of the labels, and has become something of a collector's item in the sludge world. One of the songs from this recording session was released as a Split 7" with Seattle's Iron Lung on Greg Wilkinson's label, Boredom Noise (now defunct).
Brainoil played extensively in the San Francisco Bay Area and along the West coast during 2001–2003.
Brainoil entered Polymorph Studios in March 2002 to record their debut LP with engineer Dan Rathbun. The LP was released as a self-titled LP in early 2003 by Matt Parillo of Dystopia on Life is Abuse Records. The LP received many positive reviews in the weeks and months following its release, often comparing the band's initial LP to Eyehategod, and described as "the best sludge album so far this year" in a review by Jeb Branin.
At the request and assistance of Uge from Throne Records in Spain, the band's self-titled LP was re-released in Europe on Throne Records in the winter of 2003. This version of the LP featured re-mastering and a re-arrangement of the songs on each side. The re-mastering boosted the high-end frequencies and increased the overall volume. To support the LP release, Brainoil toured Western Europe in March 2004 with fellow Throne Records label-mates Moho.
Since its inception in 2003, Black Ganion, the ‘super metamorphosis grinder’, has turned the voice of the voiceless into ear-shattering noise and screams, hurling them to the world. The knee-deep sludge rends itself into furious grindcore, and the chilly dub cuttings morph into doom riffs and chaotic murkiness. Their collaboration with GOTH-TRAD on Method is regarded as one of the first ever successful chimaera of extreme music and dubstep.
Still, their music is not just a showcase of musical genres. Their inconsistency in musical styles shows the true musical identity of the band. The same can be said for the listeners – they must abandon the stylized routine moshings, and free their instincts. Black Ganion on stage is an epitome of modern society, the feast of freedom and aggression.

Antiseen (often stylized as ANTiSEEN) is an American punk rock band formed in Charlotte, North Carolina by Jeff Clayton and Joe Young in 1983. The name "Antiseen" serves as a deliberate deviation of the phrase "anti-scene" - the group not wishing to adhere to standard perceptions of punk rock in specific and rock music in general. Musically Antiseen is influenced by groups such as the Ramones and Stooges; employing short, heavily distorted chord-driven songs largely free of guitar solos or advanced musicianship. The band has a catalogue of over 100 LPs, EPs, CDs and DVDs recorded with various line-ups and have performed all over the world.
The band members consist of vocalist Jeff Clayton, guitarist Mad Brother Ward, bassist Sir Barry Hannibal and drummer The Gooch.
After several years playing regularly throughout the East Coast and southern United States, Antiseen embarked on their first major world tour in 1992 performing in 19 countries in Europe and North America. This was repeated semi-annually for the rest of the 1990s. By the close of the decade the group tired of the routine and began to focus on shorter trips concentrating on individual regions (e.g. the west coast, east coast, midwest etc.) while returning to Europe for festivals.
Now, over thirty years later, Clayton still leads the charge - a bloodstained barnstorm of southern fried punk rock fury. Times and taste may change, but ANTiSEEN does not; diesle-fume piss and vinegar - and damn all the rest. What was once topical has long since become dated... But not ANTiSEEN.
The toxic DNA bleeds thru the muddy roots. The genre defying influence and heritage no longer can be denied. One needs not look very far to recognize it. The spirit is eternal, the reality exceeds the myth...
