Kamei Hirozu

Kamei Hirozu is a Japanese traditional Noh music artist and drummer. He was born in 1974 into Noh musical family, his father, mother and the eldest brother are all well-known Noh artists. At the age of 6, he had a chance of being in the first stage in "Hagoromo". Since then, he has performed numerous stages not only for fans but also for children. He also have participated in overseas performances in France, Germany, Ireland, Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, India, Africa, China, Hong Kong, Korea, etc,. In 2003, he received the 18th Victor Traditional Culture Promotion Foundation Prize "Encouragement Prize", the 14th edition of 2007 the Japanese Traditional Culture Encouragement Award. Currently, he is a lecturer of National Nogakudo and National Theater Training Instructor .
