Philharmonic Ensemble Orchestra (hereinafter called “PEO”), established in 1976 with the motto “A concert hall is an extension of the instrument” is an amateur, non-profit orchestra with no patrons. PEO will celebrate its 40th anniversary since foundation in the coming year.
Today, aside from performing concerts twice a year in Japan, mainly in Tokyo, PEO has performed a plethora of concert tours in the United States, the Republic of China and many European countries.
In 2012, PEO performed a special concert at Dvorak Hall in Prague and played the 5th symphony composed by Tchaikovsky with Ken-ichiro Kobayashi.
