After retiring, he went on to lead the way and coached Korakuen Ice Palace , Shinagawa Prince Hotel Ice Arena and Takano Ice Arena. In the 1990s, with the 1998 Nagano Olympics ahead, he became a full-time coach for the Japan Olympic Committee and played a role in connecting Japanese players and foreign leaders. We laid the foundation of player reinforcement system. He is currently the head coach of the Meiji Jingu Gaien Ice Skating Rink, and was also coached by the Princess Akiko Uchinomiya. He also coaches the synchronized skating team Jingu ICE MESSENGERS GRACE.
