Japan's leading jazz bassist Yosuke Inoue releases its ninth CD " NEW STORIES " (MYCJ-30662 2,778 yen + tax) on January 16 (Wednesday). It has become a piano trio album for the first time in 13 years, recruiting young players Kazuhiro Takemoto (p) and Shogo Shibata (ds) as members.
Inoue was born in 1964 in Osaka. Began working as a professional while attending Osaka Music University, and after moving up to Tokyo he joined the group of Motohiko Hino (ds), Tomohiko Sato (p) and others. After going to work in Japan, he went to the United States in '91. Based in New York , he worked internationally with recordings and live performances in numerous groups such as Don Friedman and Hank Jones . We announced our first leader work "speak up" in 1997, and have released eight leader albums until " Good Time Again " in 2017 .
In this work, Inoue's "golden egg" just graduated from the National Music University, Takemoto and Kuwata's white feathered arrows, and while being a royal piano trio, a novel approach to standard and pop Is expressed fresh.
On February 28 th (Thursday), we hold a CD sale commemorative live at Shibuya, Tokyo JZ Brat. Please see the official site of the store for details.
