Yasumasa Yamamoto

Yamamoto Yasuhiro (born June 22, 1982 -) is a Japanese vocalist, tenor singer from Okazaki city, Aichi Prefecture. He graduated from
Kyoto City University of Arts Department and then studied vocal music with Andou Kyoko and Kitamura Toshinori.

He won the 2nd prize in the 82nd Japan Music Competition Vocal Music Section and got the award of Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. In addition, he was awarded the 2014 Aoyama Music Award Music Prize.

From 2008 to 2014, he was a member of Biwako Hall Voice Ensemble. Currently he is an active member of Biwako Hall Voice Ensemble Solo.

Nobuyuki Okawa is a Japanese opera singer. He graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Art and completed the Birthday Party Opera Studio. He was awarded 3rd prize at the 14th Japanese Voice Competition.

Akiya Fukushima

Akiya Fukushima (Fukushima Akiya, August 2, 1957 -) is a baritone singer. After graduating from Tokyo University of Arts in 1984, he joined the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Foundation and has performed many of the leading roles for Nikikai Productions for over two decades.

He also performs regularly in concert with Japanese orchestras such as the NHK Symphony and Kanagawa Philharmonic.

He was the winner of The Music Competiton of Japan in 1985. Akiya Fukushima has been the associate professor of Vocal Music at Tokyo University of Arts since 2007. In July 2007, he appeared as a music director of the opera "Carmen" in Izumo City.

Mari Moriya is one of todays leading sopranos. She was born in Oyama, Japan, and studied at the Musashino Academy of Music in Tokyo (Master of Music) and at the Mannes College of Music in New York (Professional Studies Diploma). She was a Grand Finalist at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2006 and won awards in major international singing competitions such as Cardiff Singer of the World (Concert Prize – 2007) and Belvedere Singing Competition (Hans Gabor Sonderpreis – 2008).

In 2006 Mari Moriya made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera New York as Queen of the Night under the baton of James Levine. Since then she has performed this role numerous times with leading opera companies in Europe and the United States.

Highlights of the 2017-18 season for Mari Moriya includes her role debuts as Feldmarschallin von Werdenberg in Der Rosenkavalier and Cio-cio San in Madama Butterfly with Tokyo Nikikai Opera Theater.

In november 2018, she will return to Opera Vlaanderen as Miss Schlesen in Philip Glasss Satyagraha following her debut there in 2016 as Queen Tye.

Noriko Matsubara (Voice)

Noriko Matsubara is an opera singer from Tokyo. After graduating from Vocal Music Department of Tokyo College of Music, she completed the master's course of the graduate school as well as the Master Class of the Birthday Party Opera Training Center.
