After meeting at "Rock Commune," Ritsumeikan University's music club, Shigeru Kishida, Masashi Satō, and Nobuyuki Mori formed the original three-piece band. The name "Quruli," an onomatopoeic word expressing rotation, was taken from a sign in the Kyoto Municipal Subway. In October 1998, Quruli released the single 東京 ("Tokyo") on Victor Entertainment. They released their first major label album, さよならストレンジャー ("Goodbye Stranger") in 1999.
Quruli released the albums 図鑑 ("Picture Book") in 2000, produced by Jim O'Rourke, and Team Rock in 2001. During the production of 2001 film The World is Mine, Quruli added guitarist Tasshin Ōmura to its lineup. In 2002, Mori left the band.
In 2003, after a trip to England, Quruli returned with a single, How to Go, and created the soundtrack for ジョゼと虎と魚たち ("Josee, the Tiger and the Fish"). After working with a number of session drummers, Quruli officially added drummer Christopher McGuire to their lineup in November 2003. In 2003, HMV Records Japan rated Quruli No. 74 in their "Top 100 Japanese pops Artists".
In 2004 Quruli released the album アンテナ ("Antenna"). After the tour for the album was completed, Christopher McGuire left the group. 2005 saw the release of several Quruli singles along with a new album, Nikki, released in December of that year. At the last day of 2006, Tasshin Ōmura left the band. In 2007 Quruli released a new album, ワルツを踊れ Tanz Walzer ("Dancing the Waltz"), recorded in Vienna with the Ambassade Orchester Wien. They joined forces again in 2008 to put out the live album Philharmonic or die.
Quruli first appeared on television performing 青い空 ("Blue Sky") on NHK. On September 9, 2005, Quruli appeared on the popular "Music Station" program and performed their song, 赤い電車 ("Red Train"). The song was also featured as the theme song to a Keikyu commercial.
On May 26, 2010, Quruli released the B-side compilation 僕の住んでいた街 ("The Town I Used to Live"), which also included their new song 東京レレレのレ ("Tokyo Le-Le-Le No Le"). The album reached No. 1 on the Oricon weekly album charts, becoming their first No. 1 album on the charts.
On September 8, 2010, Quruli released their album 言葉にならない、笑顔を見せてくれよ ("Show Me Your Indescribable Smile, Please"), including the singles シャツを洗えば ("When I Wash My Shirts") (with Matsutoya Yumi) and 魔法のじゅうたん ("Magical Carpet"). Their songs continued to be used in TIOVITA drink commercials, starting with Jubilee, followed by 太陽のブルース ("The Blues of the Sun"), シャツを洗えば ("When I Wash My Shirts"), 魔法のじゅうたん ("Magical Carpet"), until loveless in 2014. In 2014, those songs were compiled into くるりとチオビタ ("Quruli with TIOVITA").
Quruli released the 10th album 坩堝の電圧 ("Voltage of Melting Pot") in 2012, the 11th album THE PIER in 2014, and the 12th album ソングライン ("Songline") in 2018.
くるり（Quruli）は、日本のロックバンド。京都府出身。
アルバムごとに異なった音楽性と趣向があるため、多くの作品を手がけてきたことが挙げられる。
立命館大学の音楽サークル「ロックコミューン」に所属していた岸田、佐藤、森の３人で結成。1998年にシングル「東京」をリリースしメジャーデビュー。
1999年に、フォーキーかつプログレッシブなサウンドプロダクションが特徴的な1stアルバム『さよならストレンジャー』をリリース。
2000年にプロデューサーにジム・オルークを迎え、オルタナ・サウンドが顕著な2nd『図鑑』、2001年にテクノ・ダンスミュージックから影響を受けた3rd『TEAM ROCK』、2002年にエレクトロニカに接近したサイケデリックな4th『THE WORLD IS MINE』を発表。
2004年には一転バンドサウンドに回帰しつつ、新たにジャズの要素を取り入れた5th『アンテナ』、2005年にザ・フーやビートルズに代表される60年代ブリティッシュ・ロック・サウンドにアプローチした6th『NIKKI』、2007年はオーケストラとの融合を図りクラシックに傾斜した7th『ワルツを踊れ Tanz Walzer』をリリース。
2009年は、フロントマン・岸田繁のシンガーソングライター・アルバムとしての色彩が色濃い内省的な8th『魂のゆくえ』、2010年にアルバム・タイトルが示すようなメッセージ性の強い9th『言葉にならない、笑顔を見せてくれよ』、2012年は大幅なメンバーチェンジを敢行し制作した10th『坩堝の電圧』、2014年には多国籍なサウンド・アプローチを試みた11th『THE PIER』をリリース。
バンド結成20周年にあたる2016年、オールタイムベストアルバム『くるりの20回転』を発表。
2018年9月には前作『THE PIER』から4年ぶりのアルバム『ソングライン』がリリースされた。
キャッチコピーは「世界のルールを破壊する、日本の最強・最果て新感覚アイドル」。
公式サイトでは、「国籍、世代、性別など全てのボーダーを超越し、あらゆるカルチャーを継承、破壊、そして創造する、新感覚エンターテイメントグループ。」と表現されている。
2015年3月25日、ミスiD2015グランプリの金子理江、ミスiD2015の黒宮れい、そしてレディビアードの3人により、国内大手のコスチュームメーカー・クリアストーンのPRユニットとして結成。女性ボーカルとデスボイスを駆使する音楽ジャンル「Kawaii-Death（カワイイデス）」が特徴であった。
2015年5月31日、「夏の魔物プレイベント」（新宿レッドノーズ）で初ライブ、同年7月29日「ニッポン饅頭」でCDデビュー。CDデビューを前に7月4日に「ニッポン饅頭」のミュージック・ビデオがYouTubeに公開されると、ハフィントン・ポストやフォーブスといった海外メディアにも取り上げられ、You Tube公開4ヵ月目で1000万再生を突破した。同時に、世界各国のYOUTUBE上でダンスをマネする所謂「踊ってみた」動画が流行。
2015年10月11日、米国ニューヨークのライブハウスSOB'sにてワンマンライブを開催。チケット500枚完売。 2015年11月29日、英国ロンドンHYPER JAPANのメインゲストとして出演。 2015年12月5日、ドイツ ケルンにてワンマンライブを開催。チケット600枚完売。 2015年12月30日、新宿ReNYにてデスラビッツとのツーマンを開催。チケット800枚完売。
丘 みどり（おか みどり、1984年7月26日- ）は、日本の歌手である。2002年に本名と同じ岡 美里（おか みさと）の芸名でローカルアイドルグループ「HOP CLUB」のメンバーとしてデビューし、大阪で活動。2005年より「丘みどり」に改名し演歌歌手として活動している。
兵庫県姫路市出身。所属事務所はアービング。血液型はA型。
2015年に離婚し上京。離婚原因は発表されていない（週刊文春）
5歳から民謡を習い始め、小学5年生のときに出場した『兵庫県日本民謡祭名人戦』において、史上最年少で県名人に選ばれた。これを皮切りに数々の民謡コンクールで優勝した。
兵庫県立山崎高等学校3年時にオーディションに合格し、ホリプロ大阪所属のアイドルグループ「HOP CLUB」のメンバーの1人・岡美里として活動開始した（18歳）。同グループを2003年（平成15年）9月に卒業。演歌歌手を目指し、音楽の専門学校で歌を学び直した。
関西テレビ制作室「平成 歌の祭典」に出演すると、関西放送制作「演歌百撰」のチーフプロデューサーによって演歌の才能を見出された。しかし、正式に習った経験がある民謡が感情を込めずに歌うものであるのに対し、感情を込めて歌い上げる演歌の歌唱法に戸惑い、レッスンは厳しいものとなった。2005年（平成17年）8月、「おけさ渡り鳥」で丘みどりとして演歌歌手デビューにこぎ着けた（21歳）。衣装は演歌歌手としては異例のヘソ出しルックやミニスカートだったため、歌以外でも注目された。
デビュー直後に母に大腸癌が見つかり余命半年と診断され、入退院を繰り返す母に付き添うため一時活動を休止（母は2006年12月に47歳の若さで他界）。
2010年（平成22年）から「演歌百撰」のアシスタントを務めた（途中何人か代役あり）。同番組をたまたま観た徳光和夫が気に入り、2014年（平成26年）8月にBSジャパン「徳光和夫の名曲にっぽん 昭和歌謡人」に出演した。
東京都渋谷区代々木出身。身長169cm。血液型A型。日本大学鶴ヶ丘高等学校、日本大学文理学部卒業。
1981年、20歳でプロデビュー以来、約30年に亘りシンガーソングライターとして自身の名義による多くの作品を発表し、例年の全国ツアーなどライブ活動もしている。その傍ら、1980年代半ばから杏里や中山美穂といった他アーティストへの楽曲提供と、それに伴う音楽プロデューサー業も手掛けている。1997年、長万部太郎名義でのバンド活動およびプロデュースした「WAになっておどろう」（AGHARTA（アガルタ）とV6が同時期にカバー）が一般的に知られる。他アーティストへのプロデューサー業で数々のヒット曲を生み出したのに比べ、本人名義としては一般的な認知を得られるほどのヒット曲を持っていないことを自身でかなり気に掛けていて、今後の目標のひとつにその達成を掲げたいと、近年はライブのMCやインタビューなどで表立って言及している。
発表する曲は海・夏・リゾートを連想させる曲（特に初期）や中期以降では深遠な恋愛観・精神世界・喧騒な夜の都会を連想させる曲が多く、曲の作り込みに強いこだわりを持つ事からSNSやメディアでは音楽職人と称されている。角松自身の音楽スタイルは、自身が尊敬している山下達郎や大瀧詠一等の影響でシティポップ・ニューミュージックを基調とする一方、R&B・ファンク・ソウル音楽等のブラックミュージックの要素を巧みに取り入れている事から、久保田利伸・SING LIKE TALKING・TUBE・大沢誉志幸・安全地帯等後進のミュージシャンやバンドにも影響を与えている。
1960年代後半のグループ・サウンズ全盛期からスーパー・スターとして活躍し、ソロとしてのシングル総売上は1,239万枚を記録（1982〜1991年の9年間は歴代1位の座を保つ。アルバムも合わせた総売上は約1,570万枚）。ザ・タイガース、PYG時代を含めると1,666万枚になる。
1948年6月25日、両親の実家がある鳥取県岩美郡津ノ井村（現・鳥取市津ノ井）で出生。戸籍上の名前では、“研”という文字の右下に点がある。当時、父親が舞鶴市内の火薬研究所の取引先に勤務しており、二番目の子だったため「研二」と命名された。京都市立第三錦林小学校、同・岡崎中学校卒業後、1964年4月、京都の名門進学校、京都府立鴨沂高等学校入学、後に同校を中退。なお女優、大信田礼子も沢田と同じ高校出身である。少年時代はプロ野球選手に憧れ、選手では川上哲治、藤尾茂が好きだった。中学では野球部のキャプテンを務め、ポジションは一塁手。京都市大会で4位になり、京都府大会に進出したが、ここで負けたことで野球選手の夢は諦めたという。高校では空手部に所属。
京都のダンス喫茶「田園」でドアボーイのアルバイトをしている時にサンダースに声をかけられ、17歳の沢田はローディー兼ボーカリストになった。そのステージを見たサリーとプレイボーイズのサリー（岸部修三＝現・岸部一徳）から沢田はリード・ボーカルとして誘われ、翌年の元日にサリーとプレイボーイズに正式加入、グループ名は「ファニーズ」と改めた。

2002年4月より1年間、e-radioでDJを務める。その時にリスナーとのコミュニケーションで作られた『オメガの記憶』がその年の滋賀の高校野球のテーマ曲になり県内で話題を呼ぶ。そのため、ブレイクした後もしばしば滋賀県を訪れ雑誌の対談やイベント、番組などに出演し、河口恭吾自身も滋賀を栃木に次ぐ第二の故郷と語っている。
2003年4月に日立マクセル系のレコード会社から「桜」をリリースする。3月～7月まで有線ラジオ放送問い合わせチャートで断トツを記録する。しかし、レコード会社がなくなり（日立マクセルが音楽事業から撤退のため、その事業会社であるマクセル・イーキューブを解散）、ワーナーミュージック・ジャパンに移籍。同年12月10日に『桜』を再リリースし大ブレイクする。
2005年にかねてから河口ではないかと噂されていた、ダイハツ「タントカスタム」CMで尾崎豊の「I LOVE YOU」をカヴァーしていることが判明した。尾崎豊のプロデューサーだった須藤晃が河口を指名して実現した。
2006年にベストアルバムを発売し日本クラウンへ移籍した｡
2007年4月3日に上野公園水上音楽堂で行われたキンモクセイ のフリーライヴにゲスト参加し、河口本人の曲「桜」をキンモクセイとデュエット。約1,000人の観客を驚かせた。7月には、中孝介のアルバム『ユライ花』に「サヨナラのない恋」を楽曲提供。8月18日には、大阪・服部緑地野外音楽堂でライヴ「夏を旅する10月の息子」を開催。Soweluや中孝介ら豪華アーティストがゲスト出演した。

ウォルト・ディズニーの生誕100周年を記念して2002年から始まり、2004年以降は毎年全国各地で開催される。こういったツアー形式のディズニーのクラシックコンサートは世界初である。最終日にミッキーマウスが登場する時がある。毎回のテーマは基本的にディズニー映画の曲目からとる。
指揮者は初回からブラッド・ケリー。
演奏は、2014年まで東京フィルハーモニー交響楽団がブラッド・ケリーと共に結成した「ネバーランド・オーケストラ」を中心に行われた（地方公演の場合は他の楽団のメンバーが主流となる場合があった）。2015年より、同年4月に新たに設立されたオーケストラ、THE ORCHESTRA JAPANの全公演での演奏に変わる。
毎回ディズニー映画の1つをテーマとしていたが、2007年はプリンセスと呼ばれる「白雪姫」、「シンデレラ」、「眠れる森の美女」、「美女と野獣」の4作品からの曲目が演奏された（「アラジン」や「リトル・マーメイド」は昨年、一昨年前のテーマだったため入っていない）。
また、2008年は、東京ディズニーリゾートの25周年を記念して、第一部でパーク音楽を特集。第二部ではディズニーの音楽を語る上でかかせない、アラン・メンケンの楽曲を、リトル・マーメイド、魔法にかけられて、アラジン、ヘラクレス、ポカホンタス等から数多く演奏。
麻生 かほ里（あそう かほり、1967年6月26日 - ）は、日本の女優、声優、歌手、ナレーター。アミューズ所属。
東京都出身、共立女子短期大学卒。日本銀行勤務を経て女優活動を開始。ミュージカルを中心に活躍している。既婚。かつてはアーサに所属していた。
舞台を中心に活動しており、1993年にディズニー映画『アラジン』の吹き替えを担当して以降は声優・ナレーターとしても活動している。
『ワイルドアームズ セカンドイグニッション』で主題歌を担当し、同シリーズの4まで主題歌を担当。
THE ORCHESTRA JAPAN（オーケストラ・ジャパン）は日本の東京に拠点を置くオーケストラである。TOJと略されることがある。
創立は2015年4月。株式会社のオーケストラとして設立された。創立時のオーディションには400名を超える応募者が参加し、国内外からメンバーが集まった。
2015年の活動は主に、ディズニー・オン・クラシック 春の音楽祭2015、ディズニー・オン・クラシック 全国ツアー（9月 - 12月）、オリンピックコンサート2015、ピクサー・イン・コンサートなど。
その演奏模様はNHK総合テレビ、TBSチャンネル1、WOWOWプレミアム、WOWOWライブなどで全国放送された。
Hi-STANDARDのフロントマンとして知られ、2010年3月より“難波章浩-AKIHIRO NAMBA-”としてソロ活動していた難波章浩が、2013年3月にサポートメンバーを務めていたK5(g)、SAMBU(ds)とともに結成。
2016年6月1日から元ARTEMAのko-hey(Gt.Cho.)が正式加入し、4人編成となる。
ライブでは、難波章浩-AKIHIRO NAMBA-名義の作品もセットリストに入れている。
ENTH is a punk band in Nagoya, Japan. In 2018, three people, daipon (Vo & Ba) / Naoki (Gt & Cho) / takumi (Dr & Cho) are working with Waiwai Kashiya.
Even though it is based on melodic punk, it has a composition sense with which creates a hybrid mixture sound that can not be caught in the word of genre at all. Not only kids but also bandmans, artists and related people are widely recognized.
In April 2014 2nd Mini Album "Never Let Go" was released. At the end of the year, they collaborated with EVERLONG and Nagoya CLUB QUATTRO "JUNGLE TYPHOON". They held a 2 man live with great success.
In 2015 New Year's Day limited single "Before Sunrise" was released, 2000 sheets sold out immediately! In July 2015, their 3rd Mini Album "Entheogen" was released.
March 2016 2nd Single "SOMEWHERE WE HOPE" was released. On April 9, 2016 the first one-man live was held at RAD HALL.
At that time, their drummer withdrawed, Takumi joined and becomes current member. They also had many appearances in large festivals sponsored by first-line live bands such as YON FES, DEADPOP FESTIVAL, HAZIKETE MAZARE FESTIVAL, porn super express etc.
July 2017 1st Full Album "HENT" released. Liveshow "HENT" and a nationwide tour "DOHENTAI TOUR 2017" was held,
Final series was held at Fukuoka Queblick (w / BACK LIFT) / Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO (w / 04 Limited Sazabys) / Umeda CLUB QUATTRO (w / Good Morning America) / Nagoya Diamond Hall (w / HEY - SMITH).
In 2017 they appeared in large festivals such as VIVA LA ROCK, SATANIC CARNIVAL, OTOSATA ROCK FES, FREEDOM NAGOYA, Kyoto universe strategy, COUNTDOWN JAPAN.
In 2018, they participated in YON FES, VIVA LA ROCK, SUMMER CAMP, Million rock festival, SATANIC CARNIVAL, OTOSATA ROCK FES, FREEDOM NAGOYA, Kyoto universe strategy, JOIN ALIVE, ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL, MONSTER baSH and many appearances in big festival nationwide etc.
SHADOWS（シャドウズ）は、日本のロックバンド。2016年結成。
元FACTのHiro(Vo)、Takahiro(Gt/Vo)、Kazuki(Gt/Vo)の3人により結成された新バンド。 コンセプトは＂90'S リバイバル/New Melodic Hardcore＂。 バンド名はTakahiroの案で、文字の配列によって決めたため特に意味はない。
Bacho was formed in 2002 with 4 members Kitinaga Kinya (Gt), Itami Tominagi (Ba), Ishida Kazuya (Vo) and Arikawa(Dr) .
In 2004 vocalist Ishida withdrew, Kitahata served as vocalist, and it became a 3-piece band. They belonged to "Immortality" production.
2007 Gt Miura Yoshito joined. It became 4 pieces again. 2008 Dr Arikawa withdrew. Takayuki Kazuhiro joined as Dummer.
2009 two songs from cosmicnote demo "Define me" released. In the same year, 1st mini album "Request" released.
In November 2010, 2nd mini album "Reconquista" was released. 2012 V.A. "Breaking Concept vol.2" released. July 31, 2013 7 "EP" fallen leaves "released. 2014 V.A. "cosmicnote 10" released. February 2015 1st full album "Supreme New Memory" released.
March 2015, they had "Supreme New Memorial" tour.

January, liveshow "GOJOGEN 36" was held.
February 24The first DVD on February 24 'Supreme New Memory DVD ~ Record of Memory ~' released.
May 1st "GOJOGEN Vol.37" was held at Shimokitazawa ERA. They also appeared in various festivals and events.
November Taiwan TOUR dedicated, the only one-man live "GOJOGEN 38 - ONEMAN -" held in Kobe.
dustbox（ダストボックス）は、日本のパンク・ロックバンドである。埼玉県で1996年結成。1999年よりアルバム・デビュー時のメンバーに定着した。2003年東芝EMIよりメジャーデビューするが、2004年再びインディーズに戻る。現在、定期的にSearching For Freedomと銘打った自主企画のライブ活動をはじめ、積極的なリリース及びフェス出演などを行なっている。
本名・須賀真太郎。既婚者。二児の父。ESPミュージカルアカデミー卒。ライブのMCでよく噛む。しけもくロッカーズのギター・ボーカルを務めている。
本名・佐藤穣二。しけもくロッカーズのボーカルを務めている。鍵を差しっぱなしにして停めておいたバイクを盗まれたというエピソードをもとに「Neo chavez 400」という楽曲が作られた。
本名・高橋勇樹。heのドラマーでもある。REIJIの脱退を受けて加入。
Northern19（ノーザンナインティーン）は、日本の3人組インディーズロックバンド。所属レーベルはインディーズレーベルのWIRED ReCORDS。
バンド名の由来は、「北国」出身である3人が「19」歳のときにバンドを結成したことからである。
SHANK（シャンク）は、2004年に長崎で結成されたスリーピース・ロック・バンド。
GOOD4NOTHING（グッドフォーナッシング）は大阪堺市出身のメロディックパンクバンドである。
日本のインディーズバンド、アメリカ西海岸のメロディックパンクに影響を受け、1996年に前身となるバンド「電器風呂」を結成。1998年にMAKKINが加入し、1999年に「GOOD4NOTHING」に改名した。
2009年9月に大阪・堺club massiveのワンマンライブをもって、12年寄り添ったKAWAJINが脱退、新メンバーのSUNE（スネ）が加入することが発表された。
KICK ROCK MUSICに所属していたが、2010年8月に自主マネージメントレーベル＜L.M.N.O.P.＞（エレメノピー）の立ち上げを発表。公式サイトに『自分達のやりたいように出来る環境を作るべく設立したレーベル。当面は、セルフプロデュースと言う形で自分達を表現していく場所。名前の由来は、ABCの歌が日本とアメリカで違うところから、この部分を抜粋。』と発表した。メジャーレーベルはUNIVERSAL J。
2011年5月には『GOOD4NOTHING "BACK 4 GOOD" CHINA TOUR 2011』と題した大規模な中国ツアーを敢行。日本人アーティストとしては史上初のライブハウス、大型野外フェスティバルを含めた16公演を大成功に収めた 。上海で行われたMIDI MUSIC FESTIVAL 2011では最終日のトリ前に出演。歓声が鳴り止まない程の大盛況に終わった。 （主な公演場所：広州 / 香港 / 深セン / 珠海 / マカオ / 西安 / 武漢 / 重慶 / 成都 / 北京 / 上海 / 杭州等）
また、同年10月に行われた『GOOD4NOTHING "It’s shoooort time!!" CHINA TOUR 2011』では、鎮江で行われた『STRAWBERRY CHANJIANG MUSIC FESTIVAL 2011』にて、日本人アーティストとしては中国ロックフェス史上初の大トリを飾った。この模様は中国版Twitter『新浪微博（シンランウェイボー）』にて大々的にクローズアップされた。

Bob Flick, John Paine, Mike Kirkland, and Dick Foley met at the University of Washington, where they were members of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity in 1956 (hence the "Brothers" appellation). Their first professional performances were the result of a prank played on them in 1958 by a rival fraternity, who had arranged for someone to call them, pretend to be from Seattle's Colony Club, and invite them to come down to audition for a gig. Even though they were not expected at the club, they were allowed to sing a few songs, and were subsequently hired. Flick recalls them being paid "mostly in beer."
They left for San Francisco in 1959, where they met Mort Lewis, Dave Brubeck's manager. Lewis became their manager and later that year secured them a contract with Columbia Records. Their second single, "Greenfields," released in January 1960, hit #2 on the pop charts, sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc by the RIAA. Their first album, Brothers Four, released toward the end of the year, made the top 20. Other highlights of their early career included singing their fourth single, "The Green Leaves of Summer," from the John Wayne movie The Alamo, at the 1961 Academy Awards, and having their third album, BMOC/Best Music On/Off Campus, go top 10. They also recorded the title song for the Hollywood film Five Weeks in a Balloon in 1962 and the theme song for the ABC television series Hootenanny, "Hootenanny Saturday Night," in 1963. They also gave "Sloop John B" a try, released as "The John B Sails".
The British Invasion and the ascendance of edgier folk rock musicians such as Bob Dylan put an end to the Brothers Four's early period of success, but they kept performing and making records, doing particularly well in Japan and on the American hotel circuit.
The group, with Jerry Dennon, built a radio station in Seaside, Oregon (KSWB) in 1968. The station was subsequently sold in 1972 to a group from Montana, and later to a self-proclaimed minister, and finally merged into a larger conglomerate of radio stations.
アルビレックス新潟（アルビレックスにいがた、Albirex Niigata）は、日本の新潟県新潟市および北蒲原郡聖籠町をホームタウンとする、日本プロサッカーリーグ（Jリーグ）に加盟するプロサッカークラブ。
1955年、新潟明訓高校OBが中心となって創部した新潟イレブンサッカークラブが前身。1995年、はくちょう座にある二重星アルビレオに由来する『アルビレオ新潟FC』に改称したが、1997年、商標問題からクラブ名の改称を決定し、県民投票の結果"アルビレオ"とラテン語で「王」を意味する"レックス"を掛け合わせた造語である『アルビレックス新潟』に改称した。なお、他の候補名は新潟弁で「俺たちの」を意味する『オラッタ新潟』と「白鳥の騎士」を意味する『シスネーテス新潟』があった。1999年にJリーグへ加盟。
ホームタウンはホームスタジアム・デンカビッグスワンスタジアムがある新潟県新潟市とクラブハウスのある北蒲原郡聖籠町。マスコットキャラクターは白鳥をモチーフに2000年に登場した『アルビくん』。
近隣にライバルクラブは存在していないが、2007年頃から企画先行ながらヴァンフォーレ甲府との対戦を川中島ダービー、モンテディオ山形との対戦を天地人ダービーと呼ぶようになった。
なでしこリーグに参加する女子チーム・アルビレックス新潟レディース（2002年創設・活動開始）を持つほか、会場の応援を彩るチアリーディングチームも運営している。
また、Jリーグ百年構想による総合型地域スポーツクラブを目指しており、バスケットボールのBリーグに新潟アルビレックスBBが、バスケットボール女子日本リーグ機構（WJBL）に新潟アルビレックスBBラビッツが参戦している他、2004年にスキー・スノーボードのチームアルビレックス新潟を、2005年に陸上競技の新潟アルビレックスランニングクラブを創設。更に、2006年にプロ野球独立リーグ・ベースボール・チャレンジ・リーグに参戦する新潟アルビレックス・ベースボール・クラブが、2010年にモータースポーツのアルビレックスレーシングチームが創設されている。なお、各「アルビレックス」はイメージカラーを共有しているが、各競技チームの運営会社は全く別個の企業であり、各運営会社間に直接の資本関係等はない。
メンバー3名の鼻は演奏するときは自動的に青・赤・銀になると言っている。
LOVE PSYCHEDELICO（ラブ サイケデリコ）は、日本の男女2人組による音楽ユニット。略称はデリコ。所属レーベルはビクターエンタテインメント、所属事務所はJVCエンタテインメント。
ボーカルのKUMIとギターのNAOKIの男女二人によるロックデュオ。1997年に青山学院大学の音楽サークルで結成。もともとは大学でNAOKIがKUMIに声を掛けたことをきっかけになにげなく始まったバンドで、当初はプロデビューなどという野心はまったくなかった。2人を中心にバンド形態で活動をスタートするが、メンバーが入っては辞めての繰り返しで、ファーストアルバムも、バンドが無くなって後任のベースとドラムとキーボードを探すまでの間にデモテープのつもりで2人だけで作っていたものだった。そのテープがたまたまレコード会社の人間の手に渡り、アコースティック・ギターとボーカルを録り直した以外はほとんどそのままの形でCDになって世に出てしまった。
本来のバンド名は「LOVE PSYCHEDELIC ORCHESTRA」であったが、長すぎるのでORCHESTRAの頭文字「O」を取ってPSYCHEDELICの後ろにつけ、現在の名称になった。
2004年にはアジアツアーを開催し、2008年にはL.A.を拠点とするインディーズレーベルHacktone Recordsよりアルバム『This is LOVE PSYCHEDELICO』で正式に米国デビューを果たすなど、海外での活動も展開している。アメリカデビューは彼らの音源を聞いたレーベルのプレジデントのデヴィッド・ゴーマンからの数年越しのラブコールに応えることで実現したもの。それをきっかけにハリウッドの伝説的なライブハウスであるトルバドールで公演するなど、しばらくL.A.と日本とを行き来しながら活動を続けた。また香港、上海、台湾などのアジア圏では2000年のデビュー当時から「愛的魔幻」の呼び名で親しまれ、香港のロック・フェスティバルにヘッドライナーとして出演するなど絶大な人気を誇っている。

They are five-person rock band formed in Fukuoka.The world view of the misery represented in their lyrics, which are drawn by Vo. Kyoji and the intuitive and intense truck of the band. They expresses daily sense of obstruction and breathing, a feeling of helplessness. "I have no dreams or hopes, and I can not help it where I knew it"
The band has gained popularity from many young people who feel "loneliness", they are like a spokesman for those who lament to reality.
In 2015 their first album "Waiting for some yesterday" hits nationwide!
