The New Japan Philharmonic (新日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団 , Shin Nihon Firuhāmonī Kōkyōgakudan) is a symphony orchestra based in Tokyo, Japan. It was founded in 1972 with Seiji Ozawa as honorary conductor laureate. The Philharmonic's primary concert venue is the Sumida Triphony Hall. From 2003 to 2013 its music director was Christian Arming. Toshiyuki Kamioka has been the music director since 2016.

Her successes in international piano competitions include 1st prize at the Epinal International Piano Competition in France, Schnabel Piano Competition in Berlin, 3rd prize at International Music Competition ARD in Munich; as well as major prizes at the Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw. Toshiyuki Kamioka Kazuyoshi Akiyama (上岡 敏之 Kamioka Toshiyuki, born January 20 September 1960) is a Japanese conductor and pianist, who lives and works predominantly in Germany since 1984. A scholarship of Rotary International enabled him to continue his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg with Klauspeter Seibel. In 2010 he was awarded the Von der Heydt Prize of the city of Wuppertal as conductor of the Symphony Orchestra Wuppertal.
