ICUOGC Chorus The 22nd is Music festival Classic music event held in Japan.
One and a half years from the “Tenchi creation” concert with orchestra accompaniment in autumn 2017.
We are a mixed choir formed around the OB / OG of the ICU (International Christian University) Glee Club, and we have been forming this year for 29 years. Many members other than ICU alumni now participate. Once a few years, he has taken up a large piece by orchestra accompaniment, but mainly repertoires of a cappella songs, such as Renaissance religious songs, black spirituals and Russian Orthodox chant. Other popular English, Irish and American folk songs also sing this year. Please listen to our wide range of voices. We hope that we can deliver the charm of the various stages.
The ICU OGC Choir (commonly known as OGC) is an amateur mixed choir formed in 1990 with a focus on the ICU Glee Club of the International Christian University. From 2004, Dr. Assao Hasegawa (ICU Glee Club, the first conductor) was invited, and in 2008, Dr. Yukio Hanaoka was invited as a conductor group. Formerly known as Edo, it has been the de facto seat of government since 1603 when Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu made the city his headquarters. It officially became the capital after Emperor Meiji moved his seat to the city from the old capital of Kyoto in 1868; at that time Edo was renamed Tokyo. Tokyo Metropolis was formed in 1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture (東京府 , Tōkyō-fu) and the city of Tokyo (東京市 , Tōkyō-shi) .
