Oceans Ate Alaska was founded in 2010 by Birmingham University's students consisting of James Harrison, James 'Jibs' Kennedy, Josh Salthouse, Alex Hurdley and Chris Turner. On 26 January 2015 the band released the music video for the third single "Vultures and Sharks".
