Ayako Takagi is a highly talented flutist who is currently drawing considerable attention with her impeccable technique, characteristic tone and unlimited musicality.

Without being limited to the framework of a conventional classical musician, she has appeared in television and radio programs as well as television commercials, receiving attention from numerous different fields.

Ayako Takagi was born in Toyota, Aichi prefecture, Japan. She started playing piano at the age of three, and flute at the age of eight. She studied at the Music High School attached to Tokyo University of the Arts, and subsequently at Tokyo University of the Arts, where she concluded an undergraduate and a master program. She studied flute under Chie Nishimura, Kazuyoshi Hashimoto, Gerard Noack, Tetsuya Kosaka, Narumi Murakami, Chang-Kook Kim, Paul Meisen and chamber music under Koji Okazaki.

Her talent has been highly appreciated since her student days, winning her numerous competitions and awards: first prize at Mainichi Music Competition for Students hosted by Mainichi Newspaper (1995), "Encouragement Award" from Kobe International Flute Competition (1997), a scholarship from NTT Docomo, "Ataka award" from Tokyo University of the Arts (1997), first prize at Takarazuka Vega Contest (1999), first prize and "Audience Award" at Japan Flute Convention Competition (1999), first prize (flute division) and "Special Award" at 17th Japan Wind Instrument Competition (2000), first prize (flute division) at 70th Japan Music Competition (2001), "Fresh Artist Award" from Nippon Steel Corporation Music Award (2001), third prize at Jean-Pierre Rampal International Flute Competition (2005), and third prize at the Kobe International Flute Competition(2005).

She started her carrier while still in college. She has performed with I Solisti Filarmonici Italiani, Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, ensemble Archi di Milano, St. Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra, Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra as well as principal orchestras in Japan. In autumn 2004, she made her first debut in Paris performing with Ensemble orchestral de Paris, and following Japanese tour also marked a success. She also performed numerous recitals and chamber music actively in various locations. In autumn 2010, she gave her 10th debut anniversary recital.

Ayako Takagi's recording carrier is also active. She released two debut CDs "Sicilian, flute masterpiece collection" and "Plays YUMING on flute" in March 2003. Subsequently she released "Gentle Dreams-Flute music of the 20th century" and "I need to be in love - plays Carpenters" together, followed by "Southern Thoughts"- a collection of South American pieces from classic to Bossa Nova; "Air Blue-A blue Margin" a collection of flute solos from 17th century to contemporary music. The first Concertos Album "Italia" was recorded with I Solisti Filarmonici Italiani in Italy, "Earth": a collection of masterpieces for flute with themes from earth, nature and breath of life, "Towerd the sea" a duo album with the guitarist Shinich Fukuda. Her CDs have been highly appreciated as well as leaving excellent sales results. In 2010, she released her 10th anniversary CD "The Best" and "Mozart: Concertos for flute and Orchestra" and are being well received.

Currently she is an associate professor at the Tokyo University of the Arts and a guest professor at Senzoku Gakuen University, part-time lecture at Nihon University College of Arts and Musashino Academia Musicae.

Daisuke Mogi (1959–) was born in Tokyo. He graduated from the Kunitachi College of Music with a degree in oboe performance before going abroad to study in the graduate program at Munich Music College (now the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich). He studied under the famed oboist Günther Passin.
After completing his degree there, he stayed on at the college as a lecturer. In 1987 he joined the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra as first oboist. After returning to Japan in 1990, he became first oboist of the NHK Symphony Orchestra in April 1991, and also played with the Japan Shinsei Symphony Orchestra. In addition, he performed as a soloist with jazz pianist and composer Yosuke Yamashita, expanding his repertory beyond the classical genre. More recently he has taken up conducting, and he has also published numerous volumes of essays over the course of his career.

Chiharu Taki

Chiharu Taki was born in 1987 in Tokyo.
In 2002, at the age of 15, she was chosen to perform as a soloist with the Toho Gakuen Alumni Orchestra under the baton of Seiji Ozawa at the Toho Gakuen Music Department 50th Anniversary Concert. In 2004, just 16 years old, she released a solo debut CD using a violin made by Chang Heryern Jin, a well-know violin maker in Japan.

While a high school student, she performed with major Japanese orchestras conducted by Ken-ichiro Kobayashi, Norichika Iimori, Taijiro Iimori, Masahiko Enkoji, Naoto Otomo, Kazuhiro Koizumi, Ryusuke Numajiri, Kazumasa Watanabe, Shizuo Kuwahara, Gerd Albrecht, Hubert Soudant, Michal Dworzynski, Byron Fidetzis, and Claus Peter Flor.

In August 2008, she gave a debut recital with Kazune Shimizu displaying her outstanding technique and musicality.
She appeared on several TV programs, one of which includes Lalos Symphonie espagnole. This was broadcast in 2009 on NHKs program Forest of Orchestras. During such she performed with Yamagata Symphony Orchestra and Norichika Iimori.

In 2011, Taki performed with Shota Nakano at Hamarikyu Asahi Hall in Tokyo. Additionally in 2013, they performed a duo recital at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall and toured Berlin and Rostock in 2015.

Taki continued superb musical activities in Europe. In 2002, she gave a recital in Pitea, Sweden and in 2004 in Novosibirsk, Russia. In 2008, she performed Sibelius violin concerto with Athens Symphony Orchestra conducted by L. Svarovsky in Greece and also Brahms violin concerto with Niderbayerish Symphony Orchestra in Passau, Germany.

She played with Haruko Ueda at Salle Gaveau in Paris in 2010 and formed the piano trio Gachini in 2011. In 2012, she received an award in the Jeunesses Musicales Suisse competition and appeared on Radio Swiss Classic.
Around the same time, she was invited to be a concertmistress of the Animato Sriftung Orchestra. A most promising student in Switzerland, Taki went on an European tour including Bratislava, Graz, Bern, Berlin, Prague and Wien. In 2014 and 2015, she was invited to the Davos Festival as Davos Cameratas concertmistress.

In November 2015, she performed Bruch violin concerto at the Berliner Philharmonie under the baton Seitaro Ishikawa. In February 2016, she performed a solo concert with Jazz Drummer Ernst Bier at Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnischkirche, one of the most popular churches in Berlin.

Her fantastic talent and elegance have been recognized worldwide and since 2015 she has worked as a Pictet patronage artist of Pictet Asset Management (Japan) Ltd.
She actively addresses a variety of music performance which exemplify her personality and individuality.

Chiharu Taki has studied with Reiko Kaminishi, Akiko Tatsumi, and Zakhar Bron. After studying at Toho Gakuen Music High School and Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, she presently studies with Saschko Gawriloff at Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin.

Kaeko Mukoyama (cello)

Born in Tokyo, Japan. Kaeko Mukoyama studied violoncello under Keiko Matsunami, Yasushi Horie, Reine Flachot and Hakuro Mori. She won First Prize in the 54th Music Competition of Japan in 1985. After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts, Mukoyama studied under David Geringas at the Lubeck National Music University in 1990 and won First Prize in the 10th Gaspar Cassado International Cello Competition in Florence in the same year. In 1988 she received the Jury Encouragement Prize at the 3rd Arion Award. Mukoyama won the 2nd Idemitsu Award in 1992.

Mukoyama's activities that have drawn attention include the "Kaeko Mukoyama and the Cello World" series at Casals Hall, a series of recitals at Tokyo Opera City, participations in various music festivals, acting as planner of JT Art Hall Chamber Music Series, producing the Cello Collection project at Hakuju Hall, and performances as a member of the Halley String Quartet.

She has been performing with world's top artists such as János Starker, David Gilevich Geringas, Isaac Stern, Ivry Gitlis, and Martha Argerich and orchestras such as the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic, Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, Mito Chamber Orchestra, etc.

Also Mukoyama has been engaged in a myriad of activities including recitals, chamber music concerts, and in 1998 she hosted one of the most popular radio shows for NHK-FM. Mukoyama appeared many times on NHK-FM programs, acting as MC for a special program or performing live upon request of listeners. Recently her performances at concerts have been televised as well. From 2013 to 2017, she served as the principal cellist for the NHK Symphony Orchestra.

Her highly acclaimed recordings on five CD albums including Bach "Suites for Violoncello Solo BWV1007 - 1012" have been released by SONY Music Japan International. Her recordings have been used for theme music for NHK special programs and dramas, and TV commercials. Also, the CDs of Shin-ichiro Ikebe's cello concerto and Akira Miyoshi's cello concerto are available from CAMERATA-Tokyo. Her chamber music recordings have been released by Nippon Columbia and Nippon Acoustic Records. In May 2013, a live recording of the concert planned by her "Miracle Cello Ensemble - Juuni Nin No Cellist -" was released from EXTON.

Currently Mukoyama serves as an adjunct professor at Tokyo University of the Arts, and as an assistant professor at Kyoto City University of Arts from FY 2018. She is a white hope for further success as a representative virtuoso cellist of Japan.

Masayuki Okamoto (bassoon)

Masayuki Okamoto graduated from Tokyo University of Arts in 1989, and joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra in the same year. He was awarded the 1st prize and Grand prix at the 6th Wind and Percussion Concours of Japan. In 1996–1997, he studied in Hannover under a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) scholarship. He studied Bassoon under Itaru Morita, Hitomi Sugawara, Kouji Okazaki, Klaus Tunemann, Sergio Azzolini, and serves as Special Professor at Toho Gakuen School of Music and Docent at Tokyo University of Arts.

Hiroaki Sakata graduated from Kunitachi College of Music. He is a leader in many groups and is good at producing based on the characteristics of individual members.

Ogawa Kazuhisa (cello)

Ogawa Kazuhisa started cello from 11 years old. After graduating from Toho Gakuen School Music School, he studied at the French National Bordeaux Conservatory. He graduated chamber music courses, contemporary music departments and graduate schools as principals, and received the Bordeaux City Honor Award.

In 2000 he won the 4th "Competition for Young Players" (now · Nagoya International Music Competition) Solo Section; the Best Award and the Asahi Shimbun Award. She is a Rohm Music Foundation Overseas Dispatch Scholar.

So far she has studied Viola with Suganuma Jun 2, Kawamoto Yoshiko, Andorra Dartins, studied chamber music with Kiyoshi Okayama, Nobuko Yamasaki, Yasuo Harada.

Arima Ritsuko (Harp player)

Arima Ritsuko was born in 1993, she is from Tokyo. She started harp from the age of 8.

She graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. From September 2014 she was enrolled as a Czech National Brnoffill Academy until 2016. Up to now I have studied harp with Ms. Tokushima Susumoto, Risako Hayakawa, Mari Kimura and Jana Buschkova, and piano with Ami Fujiwara and Rei Eguchi.

In the 2nd Hungarian International Competition 2010, she won the 3 rd prize under the age of 21 years.
