バンド名を決めたのは2008年くらい。バンド名の由来は、京雑貨ブランドの「カランコロン京都」（スーベニール株式会社）。「カランコロン」という言葉にお洒落でかわいらしいイメージを持っていたことと、その当時のメンバーに東京出身がいなかったために逆に「東京」と名乗るのがおもしろいなと思ったことから。
曲はみんなで作るがメロディは大体いちろーが作っており、彼が持つ世界をいかにみんなで共有できるかということを大切にしている。いちろーが強くイニシアチブを握って作る曲もあれば、最初から曲の完成形が彼の頭の中にあるということもある。その一方で、みんなの意見をどんどん取り入れていくパターンもあり、メンバー全員の音を反映させるためにほかのバンドに比べてはるかに長い時間をアレンジにかけ、細かいことを延々と話し合ったりする。
Parnell Velko "P. J." Jones (born April 23, 1969) is an American professional racing driver. He has contested in multiple disciplines, including NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA GT Championship, the American Le Mans Series, USAC, the Chili Bowl, and the Stadium Super Trucks.
Jones was runner-up at the GTP class of the IMSA GT Championship in 1993 and fourth in 1992. He also finished fourth at the 2002 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race at Watkins Glen, and second at the 1999 CART race at Nazareth. His father is Indianapolis 500 winner Parnelli Jones and his brother Page Jones is a former racing driver.
Jones' preliminary efforts in racing were, in a fashion not atypical for young drivers, focused on go-karting. Upon graduation from his introductory-level competitions, Jones began to enter the oval races at Ascot Park, much as his father did decades prior. Accumulating experience and accolades, Jones would progress vertically to United States Auto Club-sanctioned events. THIS IS JAPAN is an alternative band from Tokyo, with dual guitars and dual lead singers is known for their shouts, roars, distortion and loud noise all the while writing melodic songs.
September 30, 2012 their 1st mini album "Japonica Learning Device" was released. And in October 26, 2013 2nd mini album "URUSEI BOKURA" was released. On August 14, 2014, the 1st full album "THIS IS JAPAN TIMES" for nationwide distribution was released. On August 3, 2016, they released the mini album "DISTORTION", which will be the second nationwide distribution album.
They perform 40 to 50 liveshows a year, and they have also appeared in many festivals such as "Shimokitazawa Sound Cruising" and "CONNECT Kabukicho Music Festival" "Panafes !!" In December 2017, the band's second one-man live was held at the Shimokitazawa Shelter and the venue was shaken with a lively liveshow. Then, on November 22, 2017, they planned and produced a compilation CD "NOT FORMAL ~ NEW ALTERNATIVE ~", which gathered 18 sets of artists with the possibility of changing for the mainstream as a banner holder of the Tokyo alternative scene.
On May 2, 2018, the 2nd mini-album "FROM ALTERNATIVE" has been completed, which is an awakening board that has an interpretation of THIS IS JAPAN as an alternative band.

Walking sticks, also known as trekking poles, pilgrim's staffs, hiking poles or hiking sticks, are used by hikers for a wide variety of purposes: to clear spider webs, or part thick bushes or grass obscuring the trail; as a support when going uphill or a brake when going downhill; as a balance point when crossing streams, swamps or other rough terrain; to feel for obstacles in the path; to test mud and puddles for depth; to enhance the cadence of striding, and as a defence against wild animals. 中山女子短期大学（なかやまじょしたんきだいがく、1986年10月6日 - ）は、よしもとクリエイティブ・エージェンシー所属のピン芸人。芸名に「女子」とあるが男性である。本名、中山裕介。
徳島県徳島市出身。徳島県立城南高等学校卒業。高校時代は野球部所属。NSC大阪校28期生。同期は祇園、アインシュタイン・稲田直樹、ラフ次元など。
身長175cm、体重70kg。血液型はA型。趣味は洋楽ロック、スポーツ観戦（野球、サッカー、アメフト）、高専ロボコン鑑賞。
既婚者。妻はよしもとクリエイティブエージェンシー所属の構成作家・吉岡由依子である。ちなみに芸歴でいえば吉岡は中山の7年後輩にあたる。
妻との出会いは同期の紹介で単独ライブの担当者として中山の様々な発注に対して応えてくれたことから。
かつて、土肥ポン太が経営するポン太青果で働いていたが土肥が八百屋を辞めて農業をするといった趣旨のことを示したため付き合いきれないと感じたことから退職。その後はカレー屋でアルバイトをしながら芸能活動を行っていた。お笑い芸人としての月収は先輩芸人の藤崎マーケット・トキいわく「スニーカー１足程度」の値段であった。妻の月収をあわせても10万円に満たないことがたびたびあるが、家賃3万3千円のワンルームで生活。妻の収入をあてにせず、バイトや節約に励んでいた

STORY
「あなたは死にました」
怠慢な天使は告げた。
あなたはある一人の男性。
目を覚ますとそこは無限に広がる闇の中だった。
これはあなたの大事な選択の物語。
運命を変える60分が、今始まる。
究極の魔道書を使って世界を滅ぼそうとしている闇の魔法使いを阻止するため、その魔道書を魔法使いの城から盗み出すことにしたあなた達。
無事魔法使いの目をかいくぐり魔道書を盗み出すことができたあなた達だったが、手にした魔道書を調べようとしたその時!
まばゆい光とともに、気を失ってしまった。どうやら魔道書には簡単に読むことが出来ないよう強力な魔法が掛けられていたらしい。
あなた達が目を覚ますと、城の牢屋に閉じ込められていた!
出口は見当たらない。このままだと再び闇の魔法使いが魔道書を手にしてしまう…!
城にはたくさんの仕掛けがあるようだ。闇の魔法使いが帰ってくる前になんとか出口を探し出せ!
